Do you have anything planned for tonight or the weekend?
I hate the fireworks, find them too loud and scary. The kids aren't that bothered about them anyway so don't feel so bad being tight and not buying any.
We always remember the one year our Catherine Wheel nearly set fire to next door's fence! :eek:DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -

Hello to you too, i'm actually rather excited, tonight I have redone the speadsheet we use with all out expenditure on, what i need to take out each month to save for repairs, insurance TV license and all that stuff, then i phoned the OH to bore him to death about what I had done. He really doesn't care as long as he gets his food money for working away each monday morning lolDebts: Loans: Alliance and Leicester £13,660, Cahoot £5.259.66

We don't really do anything for Bonfire night over here. Halloween is much bigger with fireworks (now we are allowed them!) and lots of people dress up for parties it's really good fun. One of our Halloween rhymers had "Cheryl Cole" false eyelashes on! Poor wee thing could hardly see her way up the driveway!:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480

I know what you mean about being excited about doing a spreadsheet lol!! After burying my head in the sand its really good to feel in control of the finances again. I had forgotten how I used to be in control over our budget. I take it your OH works away?? Mine does mon-fri so if yours does too then I really feel for you. Its not nice being here on my own trying to sort everything out. I want him to help but when he comes home at the weekend I just want him to chill and not bother him with it all, its our time together and I dont want to have to be talking about our problems in the short amount of time we have together. I would rather struggle on my own than upset him. LBM 23-10-2009 - Total unsecured debt £39,638.65 _pale_

Yes he's away Monday to Friday as well, I used to hate being on my own, but you learn to live with it don't you. I don't mind doing the finances on my own, as long as he only takes out of the account what i've told him he's allowed (pocket money lol) I wouldn't say no to him putting on a pair of marigolds once in a while when he came home mindStill at least he changes the babies nappy when he is home
