Tooth fairy we do Halloween and bonfire night. Fireworks go off round here from end of Oct to middle of Nov. Its a nightmare with a dog that hates loud bangs. I take it your in Ireland unless my geography is way out!!!
Yep over here in Leprechaun Land!! (well maybe slightly more North!!)
Also have loud bangs all this month EVERY night - my dog hates it too!:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -
Butler. Oh no! They are soooo common and yesterday!!! I have a P.A. now who does everything for me, he even answers the door and brings me my Earls Grey, I flew him in personally from LA. He used to be in films but decided servicing me (pardon the pun) would be much more satisfying for him. Once I flashed my cash at him he couldnt resist me! You might have heard of him, Brad Pitt? LBM 23-10-2009 - Total unsecured debt £39,638.65 _pale_

Our dog is not bothered at all, might be that she's a gun dog, although we have never taken her shooting (not that she's be able to hold the shotgun even if we did)

I have a fighting dog! Well a staffy anyways! He is currently snoring on my lap after a very scary night of loud bangs so its very difficult to type. He is the softest, scardiest fighting dog ever made. Probably my fault. He's kinda spoilt:idea: LBM 23-10-2009 - Total unsecured debt £39,638.65 _pale_

We have a springer spaniel, daft a brush, and petrified of a cat, but fireworks don't faze her in the slightest.
My OH hates working away too, but then he's the one stuck in bedsits and hotels, although i'd kill for a month in a hotel with someone else making my bed, cleaning my room etcDebts: Loans: Alliance and Leicester £13,660, Cahoot £5.259.66

Hmmm yes I met Brad, and as someone much cleverer than me remarked " I didn't like him, he smelled of orphans" not that I would find that remotely funny, of course.
Still, it's hard to find good servants these days...(sigh):j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -
You are all absolutely, absolutely MAD. I think the lack of cash (or cheap booze) has turned your brains into mush. I am considering upping sticks and going to the long haul thread where they might be more refined
To all new readers and posters please be assured you will always get support and a sensible answer to your queries/problems but for the rest of the time this lot are crackers!and deserve to be sent to the naughty corner!!!
Victims of the credit crunch? - take me back to the asylum

Amen to that. I do like the support here, but worry sometimes that genuine queries or bad news, or anything that people don't want to hear can be missed on this thread, but thankfully at the moment we're trying to respond to everyone, inbetween the madness...
Anyway, who's having that party? :beer:DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Just saw the end of School of Comedy, and they were singing 'Nothing's going to stop us now' at an AA meeting, and it put me in mind of us lot...
Let 'em say we're crazy
What do they know?
Put your hands in my hand baby, don't ever let go
Let the world around us
Just fall apart
Baby we can make it
if we're heart to heart
And we can build this thing together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now...DMP mutual support thread No: 2430
