 thanks for that.Just got son to sleep, but rang comparethemarket.com,and the info on their website is rubbish:mad:-despite me detailing the claims I've made in the last 5 years(cant help the fact the washing machine flooded!!) the quotes given were wrong, and nobody will insure me!.Never mind-rang swinton, amd i can still make a £21 a mth saving through them-which is better than nothimg.
Bums! ... but £21 is better than nothing... and really.. really DO go and look (sign up if you havent already) with one of the cash back sites. You'll be kicking yourself after if you dont.. :rotfl:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

the thing is GP are saying 'ill probably get charges and interest started again as CCCS havnt got the facility to deal with the creditors like they have and with the current econmic climate the creditors might go on to further action as ive broke the agreement again'
i shouldnt actually break the aggreement though as long as CCCS make the payments to them next month
i am feeling so nervous about this
im sure GP are just trying to get more money from me but its still worrying
has any1 else been in this situ or know of it?
can you put my mind at rest please xx
Helloo Bubble
I havent got any experience of that myself.. But.. it sounds like a load of Kr@p to me.. pfffft.
I think you have definitely done the right thing. There is no reason for you to be paying anyone to help with your DMP.
If GP were THAT good.. (as they make out) .. We would all be reading about how fabulous they were.. and be guided more into using them instead of the FREE help. They're just trying to keep you.
Go for it I say! :TVery proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

Sure someone will be along soon who has been with GP or one of the other fee-charging companies, but just to say it does sound like irresponsible scaremongering to me... As the famous quote from the Profumo affair goes "well he would say that, wouldn't he". :rotfl:

absolute crap - dont forget that if your not paying fee's theres more to be shared out to your creditors - never known a creditor yet object to more money
when i first started my dmp a couple of my creditor insisted i use a charity based provider0 -

As Martin says here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/debt-help-plan#helpThe wrong people to go to...
Avoid any debt help or loan consolidation companies that advertise on the telly or in some newspapers. Their job is to make money out of you, plain and simple. While in the short term their plans will make your payments lower, in the long run it'll cost you dear.
Avoid them. Don't touch them. Don’t go near them.
I think this post from the Forum explains it better than I ever can: "We, my wife and I, are on a seven-year plan with CCCS" (the Consumer Credit Counselling Service, one of my suggested agencies – Martin) "having recently changed from a commercial debt management company after hearing Martin on Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show. The simple action of swapping to the CCCS has shaved over two years off the length of our plan as the money we were paying the management company now goes to our creditors instead! Of course, that also means a financial saving of nearly eight grand over the term of the original plans 10 year period."Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hiya Bubbles0169You're 100% doing the right thing, you will have more money now to divide between your creditors as you will no longer be paying GP, CCCS have just as much power as any of the other FEE paying companies, who lets face it are also their to suck money from you in your time of need. Please don't worry people on this forum have helped me so much, I truly feel I can live a life again, which CCCS have also helped me to do!! x
