Well the forms arrived from CCCS this morning, so I will spend the weekend gathering the information together. It's really daunting but I keep telling myself that at least I'm tackling the problem.

    Hi Pinkpower

I filled out the bits that wouldn't change on the template letter and then photocopied it before filling in all the different account numbers, etc. It still seemed to take ages though! Massive sense of achievement and relief when it was all done and posted.

I put the 'over committed' as my reason as well as a vague sentance about 'financial difficulties' as I didn't want to go into details at that stage. It does not seem to have been an issue so far.

Nationwide have been my most aggressive creditor so far, although I'm not sure if it's because I have a loan with them rather than a card. I'm not expecting them to knock of interest and the payment time will be two years, a lot shorter than the other creditors. Plus, because of the funny way cccs work out payments, they get a much bigger slice of the repayment money so I would have guessed they would be the most agreeable.

    Good luck with the paperwork.

Glad to see everything is going well for you as well. I remember we started our DMP at the same time and how daunting it all was. Here we are four months down the line and still surviving! :T

    Hiya, again! lol

I signed up for one of the free tial websites. I just googled credit checks and chose one of them. Apparently egg have defaulted me (had 2 credit cards with them and both defaulted) and also citi bank (or capital one?) but M&S have told me that they are going to default me because I'm not paying 1% of the outstanding balance. So that will be four out of twelve! Hey ho............

Equifax was the company I signed up with... have to remember to delete my bank details before the 30 day trial period is up tho!

Makes interesting reading if nothing else!

To think this time last year I would have done anything to keep my clean credit score... now I just think 'Oh well'

Yes you do begin to feel very unloved when it all goes quiet I must admit!

I've recently rang a couple of my creditors when they sent letters (Halifax and M&S). I got myself ready for a big argument, even went into a meeting room in work so I could have my conversation in private and what happened? They were both as nice as pie. :D I just said I was on a DMP with CCCS and that really seemed to do the trick!

I'm sure there will be worse at some time but at the moment (fingers crossed) everything is fine...:T

  • Hi

Does anyone know an email address of Steve Birkenshaw, the guy who signs every letter that Citi Cards send out.
