yes, there have been many threads, chances are this one will be merged.
They will mainly be looking for an unsigned CCA.
If you feel the debt is incorrect in any way, you can sort it yourself for £1 plus the cost of a recorded delivery letter."Stay Wonky":D

I would rather try and do this myself by using this website to send letters and try and work through it on my own - no fees to pay then.
There is plenty of experience here and on other sites.

We have been a pproced by a company who say they can clear our debt
problem by one of two methods.
1) they ask the company to supply copy of the origional aggreement, if
they cant do this the debt is wiped clean
2) if they do supply the origional, thier lawyers examine it for
flaws,
They want to charge initial consultation fee of £80, and at a later
date if they have a case £200
Dont get me wrong I dont welsh out on debts but this debt company have
realy taken us to the cleaners and although we have stopped the
interest and agreed terms, it would take a life time to clear. as they
keep adding various charges.
Does any one know of this type of company, are they genuine?
The company is called. "the Claims Wharehouse"

I hate to say it, but if it sounds too good to be true it normally is. The likelyhood is you'll have forked out at LEAST £280 and still be left with the debt.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Please note the recent Office of Fair Trading/Ministry of Justice consumer alert regarding some of the claims made by these companies.
(summarised, "don't touch with a bargepole" I think.)

Claims regulator and OFT warn consumers about risks of being misled over the enforceability of consumer credit agreements
MoJ/OFT Consumer alert 21 August 2008
The Claims Management Regulator at the Ministry of Justice and the Office or Fair Trading (OFT) are warning consumers to think carefully before responding to businesses claiming that they can arrange for outstanding balances under loan, credit card and other consumer credit agreements to be written off and secure compensation.
Consumers are advised to seek independent advice before using the services of businesses that offer to find ways to render consumer credit agreements unenforceable. Businesses can only provide claims services if they are authorised and regulated by the MOJ under the Compensation Act 2006. Such businesses may also need to hold an appropriate OFT consumer credit licence.
Consumers may be asked to pay large up-front fees, often up to £500, for the businesses to review their credit agreements. Some businesses are claiming that many of these agreements are completely unenforceable, that consumers can have debts cancelled and claim back thousands of pounds. Consumers should think very carefully before committing themselves to making claims and handing over hundreds of pounds in advance to do so, even where refunds may be promised if the claim is unsuccessful.
Consumers with specific debt problems may wish to contact their local Citizens Advice Bureau who will often be able to provide advice free of charge. Free, impartial advice can also be obtained from the contacts at the end of this alert.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
