Heavily into gaming. Mainly on PC and mainly FPS games. CoD4 and CoD World at War being favourites. Used to play Counterstrike Source a lot but that's become a bit dull now. Play Rock Band drums (and occassionally guitar) on 360 but also dabble a little in CoD3 and World at War too.
Also heavily into LAN gaming. I'm a member of staff at Scotland's largest LAN party event. It's a very social thing and doesn't just involve gaming.

Are Cod4 and 5 good on pc? Dont you need a high spec system to compete with the consoles.

Tell us more about Scotlands Largest LAN party event. I live in North Lanarkshire.

WOW and games like it have great potential buy people are paying more than they should for game that cant stand up to console games. The systems in place are repetitive and boring to me.I'm refering to MMORPGs as a whole not just wow. WOW is the best of the bunch though.

yes i agree, im more used to console games as ive played more games on the xbox and 360, WOW is good but i still prefer the controller to a keyboard when playing,

Unless its a RTS game I cant use a keyboard for FPS games. in my opinion a keyboard is for typing and controllers were made for gaming.

The Reviews were good but in my opinion the game lost what the others had. ra2 for eample was very very balanced, there was time and effort made on the units, and while the units had weird tech they were atleast slightly believable and made the game immersive, ra3 units are rediculous and the graphics are more of a cartoon. Not a game for fanatics. RA3 isnt westwood studios, EA disbanded westwood a long time ago.

    PC, 360, Wii here

Mostly play on the PC now as its connected to the same TV and outpowers the 360 (or PS3) by quite a margin, also connected with a 360 wireless pad receiver and use that. When I say out performs I mean crysis on very high setting performance.

I don't play my 360 much anymore as all multi platform games I now get on the PC, usually £25 for a new release but soon drop to £10-£15. I only keep the 360 as I would get nothing for it if I sell it.

The Wii can be fun, not many great games but when they are good they are great games.

Anybody interested in PC gaming and need some advice on how to spec one let me know, I have built several gaming PC on different budgets for a lot less than you may think.

Percy surely the intuitive controls of a console game is better than a pc? Do you actually use a genuine 360 pad?? How much does a gaming pc with comparable specs to a xbox/ps3 cost for the hardware?

What's the picture quality like? I've tried playing games on my HDTV but the picture quality was awful when connected via VGA, and I couldn't get the resolutions to match up via DVI->HDMI
