OK Not sure if this helps or not but just restored a ghost backup dated 15 Dec 2008 and it was built pre couponnet so has never been connected to c'net or printed one of their coupons.....

Went onto couponnet and all coupons available, said needed to install driver and because I though it would work I let it install but still doesn't work!! Same symptoms says loading frontdoor etc until it times out :confused:

Will try restoring tomorrow and use VC's driver and see if that works but other than that I give up......I really feel for you peeps who can't print at all from C'net at least I can print from all except this PC!
:p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)

Hi m4rtin, can you just clarify to everyone, that you are using the Norton symantec ghost, and the differences between the way it restores and how the "native" windows system does it.

    Thanks for all your input......
It's nice to be nice .....

Well to put it as basic as possible (Not for you obviously though VC) I did a 'backup' (Actually an image) of my system when I built it before I went on couponnet etc and backed that up using a bootable Norton Ghost. This will allow me to restore my system to as it was before couponnet, the 'disadvantage' is that when I restore using this it wipes my whole hard disk programs, pictures the lot so not for 'general' use but it is the best way to get your pc 'Clean' - I always restore back to another spare hard disk (I use removable caddies) so I don't actually lose every thing, I have to then reinstall any new programs and copy back all my downloads documents etc manually.....

I switch Microsoft's system restore off because I think I know better:rolleyes: and because it's good to go back to a 'virgin point' occasionally ;) - MS System restore only really restores your 'Regsitry' (Plus a couple of other files I think) and so although you lose any newly installed programs it doesn't affect your data, pictures browsing history etc..... This is why I have no faith in it because it doesn't get rid of any erroneous dll's etc just the references to them.... I hope that all makes sense

I will try again over the weekend to restore my ghost and only use VC's couponnet file and see if that sorts it, if that doesn't work I will follow VC's full cleaning regime and if that doesn't work I give up! :rotfl:

    Woo-Hoo, I'm back up and running :j
I cheated a little bit though! I managed to get hold of another laptop, for the small cost of £40 :rotfl: On the off chance of any cheap laptops I searched my free paper and found one, just round the corner from my house. Yesterday I sold an old fridge freezer for £50 (which I was going to freecycle!), so technically, it's not cost me anything! I think it was fate!
This morning I've managed to setup my security system, download the drivers and set up the printer, install firefox, and more importantly PRINT COUPONS :T:j Not all that techinal for the likes of VC/M4rtin etc, but I'm as non techy as they come so I'm over the moon!:D

I should add that it was only £40 because there's a MASSIVE crack in the screen :rotfl: Perfect for couponning though!!!
    Comping wins

    May 2013: Sausage Roll :D
Keep calm and carry on comping

    Well Done Nikki:T:T:T:T
Another confirmation that it is nothing to do with blocking IP addresses from the couponnet end!
It is all junk put onto our PCs, that prevents [STRIKE]us[/STRIKE]you from printing

TBH I've been suspecting that it's more mac (Not Apple mac or dirty mac!) related than anything but as yet can't tie it down.....Hopefully at the weekend.....

Thanks to everyone who've confirmed it isn't IP related.

I'm reasonably technically able when pointed in the right direction - can anyone advise what i should be doing on my mac to try to fix the issue
