As someone else said on here, you will need to pay some upfront fees to sell jewellery - they are not going to give you £x worth of stock without you paying anything!!
There is a jewellery selling cmpany but can't think of the name of it now

are you trying to get at me too??? , gee , some of you like making me depressed , and as I said I ONLY ask for advice and not to be pick on by people

Maybe i'm not being helpful but if your debt situation is getting frightening maybe you would benefit from taking a look at the Debt Free boards in the forums, they have loads of advice on how to manage your debts and on speaking to creditors during times of extreme tightness!

I guess if you''re not working then you may be claiming benefits? If so then you need to be careful who you work for as it could be that you will have your benefits deducted. Don't you have any working friends who need a cleaner or babysitter cash in hand? Not that i'd condone working tax free of course...

    hi beenie cat
thanks for you adivce , I don't have any working friends

  • girl in need, all we are saying is that people on here are making helpful suggestions but you seem to be really picky about the sort of thing you want to do. Avon has no start up costs but you don't want to deliver loads of catalogues. You also don't want office work, you really are minimising your chances of getting a job if you allow yourself to be so picky.

Why don't you try something to see if you will like it?

I am finding it difficult to understand what it is that you are asking for? you say that you want to work for a jewellery company, but what kind of work are you looking for? i don't know of any that ask you to make things for them, companies like Cabouchon need you to get out doing parties, delivering catalogues etc. But there is an outlay for the catalogues and the sample stock.

You say that you don't want office work, and you seem to be getting narky with people that are actually trying to help you by trying to find out what you are looking for.

And before you get shirty with me, I suffer from depression and have done for the past 12 years, so much so that I have come with in inches of actually topping myself, so please don't use that as an excuse for not looking for work, if anything, finding a job that keeps your mind occupied can in some cases be a life saver.

If you could give us more details about what exactly your are looking for, and what your situation is (housebound, or whatever) then people are going to be more helprful, at the moment the question seems to be 'how long is a piece of string'.

and sure, we would all love to have our dream jobs, but we all have to come back down to earth and do other stuff, I want my own jewellery empire, but at the moment I am holding down another two jobs while I try.
  • girl in need, there are companies out there that don't have start up costs. Avon has a £15.00 joining fee, but that comes off your earnings, so it isn't an up front fee. However, you said you didn't want to deliver catalogues so that does rule a lot of companies like that out. You did say you didn't want an office job, well why not shop work or waitressing, bar work? You get loads of tips for that, I used to do it for a while! There are loads of options but as Jo_F said, oyu need to give a bit more detail for more helpful answers.

what an earth are you on about ???

You have other posts where you have asked where you can sell your Jewellry, did you not realise that these older posts can be viewed. I really cant see why your offended. nobody shouted. you need to stop flying off the handle.

You are getting shirty with people who have been trying to help you, but you dont want to do office work, £10 is nothing, dont want avon, dont want this, dont want to do that.
and are just alienating yourself by jumping up and down like a spoilt brat,
you need to grow up. Your defensive attitude is appalling.

you say youre a student on a low to no income, is it no income or a low income.
do your parents help out. Are you at shool, college or university? your really should have said that to start with, you know, people would have had a different approach.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
