And ... if you decided to take the bath out, would it fit through the door? They got it in before the bathroom was built didn't they?
I've taken a couple of old cast iron baths out. Club hammer job. It would be a shame to do it to a new one, but hiring a crane to take it out the window wouldn't be economic either.0 -
I realy respect that she loves interior design but not only were they rubbish at property developing, she was proper rubbish at interior design.
Woud you hire someone to paint your rooms white? Honestly. Bespoke kitchen that looked like MFI and an ill conceived bathroom based on one she already has in her house. Presumably the shower in their house actually fits. Why do the tiles only cover part of the wall? Doesn't interior design involve furniture, colour, pattern, texture?
And then another four months to realise they're asking too much on rental property. So by waiting for that non existant buyer/tenant, they've wiped out all of the profit that they may have made.
How do people that uninspired and dim get and stay in position well paid enough to fund that hobby? And no, the interior design business won't be taking off as a result. The only thing with any design in it was designed by someone else and even that was a bit dull.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Most people will never see the programme, most of those that do won't understand or see your list of her faults.
She'll just stamp "as seen on TV" on her business card and the numpties will be impressed and hire her to paint their house white and find them a kitchen and roll top bath.0 -
HILARIOUSLY - SHE WAS A BANK MANAGER!! ::rotfl::eek:: :rotfl::eek::rotfl:
and her husband jsut sat there going "when we bought this no one could see a property crash coming" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:rotfl::rotfl:
Sick. People like her employed, big-fat salary, just to stamp mortgage applications for ever greater amounts...
without question about how rapidly values were rising, and little or no expectation values can crash.
I missed the first 15 minutes of the show. It is now on C4 Catchup.It's late 2007, and the once buoyant housing market is starting to slow. Even so like millions of others,
data-consultant Chris (Wheeldon?) and his wife Jules, a bank manager, hope property developing could
provide a pension.0 -
Still not enough doom and gloom
. They're still making profit. I want to see someone ignore all Beeny's advice and make a 6 figure loss just to see the look on their face :rotfl: and hear Beeny say 'I told you so' :rotfl:.

It does make you think how many people are in the same situation. And what happens to them when rates go up again.... and house prices don't.poppy100
