She is really upset that she cant see him !! The neonatal unit only allow in the parents, so she wont see him till he comes home !!
I had to come straight to bed when we got in from the hospital as I was sore and she came and lay beside me for about 5 mins, got bored and went to play !!!

That is b0llocks!!! How do they expect siblings to bond with the baby, and the parents to manage to juggle everything when siblings are not allowed in?! Do they provide a creche or just make you choose between your children? I am really disgusted about that.

You can get it at any time. The relaxin produced throughout pregnancy can cause the sphincter at the top of the stomach to open that little bit allowing acid to escape up the oesophagus, and so heartburn and my bestest bud, acid reflux

Then later on as the uterus gets bigger it presses against the stomach and makes it worse.

Gaviscon and rennies or remmegel are my friends. :D And leaning over the foot stool on my knees seems to help a bit too, think it must take the pressure from the uterus off the stomach.

I stocked up on the remegel today so far they are working i really dont wanna take gaviscon :(

    MM, huge (but gentle!) hugs!

The milk thing.. Rhys' first feeds were 0.5ml - you'd be amazed how what looks like such a little amount to you will do him for hours! Warm flannels on my boobs helped me with hand expressing in the first few days. If you want any other info on it all, just shout :) They put Rhys on something call TPN for about a week before he had breastmilk too.

How long does it take to get to the hospital from your house?

Any advise very welcome !! He has had TPN already and will probably stay on that for another couple of days.
Takes betwee 40 and 50 mins to get to the hospital from my house. Do I need to keep the milk cold or what do I do with it if I manage to express anything tonight?

I never asked about a chreche tia, I'm lucky in that my family are always around, so am very rarely stuck, but I would like her to be able to bond with him, so he is not just this thing that is making mummy and daddy go away for hours on end each day !!

I haven't had heartburn very badly, but mine started about 30 weeks (am 37 and a half now). Most of mine appears in the evening but a good few hours after dinner.

Last week I had one really bad bout of reflux and woke up in the night with a mouth full of whatever it is. Gross.

I haven't taken gaviscon as mine hasn't been very bad but a couple of my friends swear by it. Also, remember that you can get it on prescription from the Dr to save you buying it.

I'm ok thanks Tia, can actually move around easier now bubs is engaged.

Agscully, I only ever take rennie, just had an ovaltine made with milk as that helps!

MM, that's pants about kids visiting, starts everything off on the wrong foot for them!
Too many children, too little time!!!
