I haven't been on for a little while, but I've just caught up with all the posts from the past few days.
CONGRATULATIONS to all the new births.
MM - those pics are sooo cute. Hope everything is going OK with Dylan and that you're looking after yourself too.
I finished work today :j and was bought some lovely presents.
All week I've had pain in my pelvis, so I'm quite pleased to be finished now. It doesn't hurt when I'm sitting down, but it pretty painful when I'm walking. When I had my last MW appointment (10 days ago), she said that bubba's head was one fifth engaged, so I'm wondering if it's even more engaged now and that's what's causing the pain. Any one have the same as this?0 -

Yup, as I thought - he's gorgeous!
Well done you!
Strange for me seeing another baby with all that on - Dylan has the same animal chest pads as Rhys did!
I know there's nothing much I can say to stop you worrying but you know where I am if you want to rant or just chatxxx

I'm very sore and tender, but doing fine
Have to go in tomorrow morning for my 3 day check up as I have refused to be at home for a 5 day community MW check to get bloods done as I will want to be with Dylan, not waiting round for a MW that can show up when she pleases !!!
Elle, he is about twice the size of the other 4 babies in his room !!! The hat they have is too small for him to sit properly and it keeps sliding off !!!
He has been up and down a lot since he was born. After the section his apgar at 1 min and 5 mins was 9 but within 50 mins of then, he started to go a little grey and the peadiatritian (sp?) came to see him. There is a baby unit in my hospital, but it is not staffed for one on one care, and as he needed 100% O2 at one point they wanted him in the specialist unit. Was blue lighted up and settled in quite well once there.
He improved all day yesterday getting his O2 down to 30% at one point and then took a wee bad turn last night and had to go back on the ventialtor as he was not breathing himself properlyThis was when it was decided that I was checking myself out as I was in constant tears and couldnt do anything. He is off it again now and back on CPAP at 38%
He still hasnt ate as they have a tube in his lungs at the minute to drain the fluid, but wanted me to express to give him the best start. I tried really hard and managed to get 2.5 ml of colostrum and then my nipples started to bleed and nothing has come since.
I have bought a hand pump to try tonight when I'm home. Cant stay in the hospital as the other babies in special care are a bit worse than Dylan, so we arent priority for a room, so my parents and in laws are haveing to drive us there and bring us home everyday - its going to be a long week or so !!!The two best things I have done with my life

MM, (((gentle hugs)))
The milk supply will get better, don't rush it and don't beat yourself up about it. I'm sure he will be fine, plenty of *Degunking Vibes* being sent his way for those little lungs.
Take it easy missy
And well done Rhys for getting stronger and Elle for the boobie juice hyper-production0 -
Aww MM, Dylan is lovely. It must be difficult not seeing him and now having to travel. Fingers crossed it won't be for long and he will be home with you soon. It's lucky you have good parents and in-laws to help with the transport. Really hope he makes a full recovery and you are reunited at home soon. Hugs to Dylan. xx0

Can't remember sorry, now at the point where I can't remember not having it! :rolleyes:At some point considerably before now (25 weeks)
And as I recall from last two times it only gets worse as things progress.
How far along are you then?
Tarajayne and nicki thanx for the replys , i just started to suffer with heartburn last night and i am only 13 weeks:heartpuls Baby Due 11th August 2012 :heartpuls0 -
Oh meant to say congrats to the other 3 births that SM told me about, but now for the life of me cant remember who they were !!
Also, can I just say how weird it is knowing that I have just had a child to be sat at home with all of the baby stuff here and no babyIt feels very very wrong, need to get him home soon !!

You can get it at any time. The relaxin produced throughout pregnancy can cause the sphincter at the top of the stomach to open that little bit allowing acid to escape up the oesophagus, and so heartburn and my bestest bud, acid reflux
Then later on as the uterus gets bigger it presses against the stomach and makes it worse.
Gaviscon and rennies or remmegel are my friends. And leaning over the foot stool on my knees seems to help a bit too, think it must take the pressure from the uterus off the stomach.
