Thanks NMS - what hurts the most is he put everything into the job, worked long and unsocialable hours, never complained, helped the club get to where they did, the staff and players all really like him but one guy who no-one else even likes decides he wants his mate in so OH gets stuffed!
We have been invited to a do on Sunday where all the staff will be so might go and get OH to use it as a 'goodbye' session and hope that some important people get wind of it and put a stop to it!!

Searching - it's just pathetic - a cheap shot for some cheap sniggers. treat it with the contempt it deserves. Ignore her. If you must say something then be totally over the top nice and concerned 'I'm so sorry for you - it must be hard feeling so cynical and bitter when others are so happy ... have you considered seeking professional help?' or just simply 'yes, he has a lovely skin tone doesn;t he, thank you so much for pointing it out' gush gush. There;s no point getting angry, it just fuels the fire. Just feel sorry for her - imagine being in her head? Not a nice place.

Well tomorrow is his appraisal so his company have asked for the guy from the club to attend (not the new guy) to explain the situation. It will be interesting to see what reasons they come up with, especially as him and this guy have worked well together for the 2 years before he moved into a different role. He's not been officially told but it looks to be going that way.

Me too, sorry Glam. I'm worried about OH being off sick, but at least he has a job to go back to.

Thats awful searching :grouphug: this is something that i was worrying about as my oh is black too - just try to ignore it.

Only the lowest of the low can make comments about a newborn baby like that.

she must be thick to think that babies come out with their full pigment seen as there is no sun in the womb ... doh!:rolleyes: I really feel mad for you:mad:

My nephew and niece (both black) had a baby recently and it was white when it came out - soon darkened up with the sun in abu dahbi :T now he is darker than his mum and dad.

Big hugs to you and phillip and to little jayden - like i said just remember only the lowest of the low can make nasty comments like that about a newborn.
