Think mine was around 2 - 2 1/2 weeks Claire, I don't recall bleeding for a long time although the after birth pains got worse each time. Has it slowed down alot and look like its ending or still heavy ?

    ***TMI ALERT***

It stopped altogether on tuesday and I thought it had finally finished but yesterday I was hit with a gush of bright red blood with a few small (pea sized) bits. Although I had a huge lump last week (apple sized) which made me gag!!

The discharge keeps changing from fresh bright red blood to a bit more brownly but most of the time its been red still.

    2.gif I've got tonsillitis 2.gif

I get it now and again and when i get it it's really badly infected. A chinese doc once said it was worst he'd ever seen! Not sure why chinese is relevant, i guess he was the only chinese doctor i've ever had :D.

:( I'm not at that stage get, but no doubt it'll take a few hours before i'm feeling sorry for myself.

Bennie - Can you take anything for it, I've hated having a cold while pregnant, it's just so hard not being able to take anything proper!!

I'm in a foul mood today, i haven't had a decent nights sleep in about a week, between hip pain and rib pain and restless legs and being too hot and toilet breaks i get no rest and i was at breaking point last night when i'd spent 2.5hours trying to get to sleep and at 1.30am i finally sat up, threw off the covers and burst into tears.....poor OH didn't know what to do with me....any suggestions? I'm 30 weeks but i will not cope with another 10 weeks of no sleep.....I'm so tired i just want to cry...

    lol

I love it too, my boys are soo easy and their 16,15,12 and 10 ..I didnt believe that my 5th was a girl either but 2 scans have confrmed it and it has been a different pregnancy so I'll go with it!. Its lovely though to be told your having a girl after all those boys isnt it.

So we will both be on a learning curve this time! It will be lovely to shop in the pink aisle but I cant say I am looking forward to the teenage years with a girl, its getting hard enough with a boy and he is easy enough apart from the grunting and the new interest in girls that is freaking me out!

You may of done a little too much instead of resting which i guess would explain it but even so I think it should be brown by now and should of stopped if not almost stopped.

Can you still contact your midwife or health visitor about it just to be on the safe side and keep a sample to show them? I was under the midwife for 4 weeks after ( i guess they liked me! lol ) giving birth if not contact the H.V

(((HUGS))) to tia and beenie - hope you are both better soon

GISI - Good luck with the scan today!

I forgot to tell you all about my midwife appointment yesterday. Everything is fine, BP good, measuring 40 weeks (I am 38+3) and head is still in the same place as last time - almost completely engaged. She is also making me an appointment to see the aneasthetist, to find out once and for all whether I can have an epidural or not as I have had so much conflicting advice so far.
She also commented again about my "really tight" uterus (My stomach is normally anything but tight!), she said it was incredibly hard, so she couldn't feel the position of the baby at all, but she is presuming the baby is back to back still due to the shape of my bump.

Honeypop - Labour vibes if you still need them!
