Ooh, Tia, hope they don't keep you in for too long today and that you start to feel better pronto.
It must have been so quiet last night without MM- hardly anything to catch up on this morning.
SS- good on you for your early night, but didn't anyone tell you not to get up so early now you're on mat leave?!
Got my scan today- mixture of extreme excitement at seeing baby and finding out the flavour, and terror that something will be wrong with bubs. Got work to distract me this morning though, which is actually a good thing otherwise I would be a wreck by lunchtime. Will update you ladies as soon as poss.
Elle- those pictures of Rhys are just the cutest thing ever. He is such an inspiration and you must be so proud of him. That skin to skin one is absolutely gorgeous. Give him a big hug from the ladies on here!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Tia, do they not have people offering toast at all hours of day and night? My mother's local hospital does that.
GISI, we're an hour ahead so it was after 8am and I'd been asleep for almost 14 hours! Good luck with your scan. We need more members of Team Pink.
Elle, he's lovely looking and he's doing so well. You must just be exploding with pride every time you see him.
Getting stabbing pains around my pubic bone. Shouldn't this happen a bit later on?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Jillie - can't believe your finishing before me, but has everyone has said, each preag and each person is different. I know I would hate being at home on my own for a few weeks...and I don't have a stressful or very active job. TBH - most of my duties has been passed on and I have to spend time on MSE just to pass the timeI know it would be very different if I already had a child or if I had experience any problems. I know I have been extremly lucky to have had sucha straight forward pregancy without any symptoms...(*goes off to touch wood*)
am finishing that early because of my existing high blood pressure problem. added to that is the job, although i am sat down all day at a desk it can be at times stressful and stress and bp dont really go together. so me and hubby decided that its best that i have the 6 weeks or so before baby comes to chill, relax and take it easy. (we'll see how that one goes lol!) and yes i prob will be bored but i have to look after myself too. will prob still need weekly appts with mw anyway so just means i can go at my time rather than before work etcMine start August 10th (34 weeks) and I booked them at 12 weeks!!!
flip!! i knew there was something i meant to ask the mw today!! hasnt be mentioned to me by anyone yet!! can i just book myself or does mw need to do it?searching_me wrote: »MM had a boy:j:j:j:j ... Dylan at 14:51pm!!!!!!!!! :T  :Tx

I've got tonsillitis
I get it now and again and when i get it it's really badly infected. A chinese doc once said it was worst he'd ever seen! Not sure why chinese is relevant, i guess he was the only chinese doctor i've ever had.
I'm not at that stage get, but no doubt it'll take a few hours before i'm feeling sorry for myself.

Morning ladies,
Hugs to Beenie and Tia! Can't believe you are in hospital Tia, but hopefully it won't be too long and at least they can keep an eye on you.
I have phoned in sick today. Loaded with the cold and can hardly breathe. So you lot are stuck with me today. Might try and sleep for a few hours as I didn't sleep much last night, but I will be back on and off all day.
Have a nice day.

Jillie - I booked my antenatal classes myself, you just call them directly I think. My MW had written the number in my notes book though and said to call after 22 weeks. I am booked in for the last 4 weeks (Tue evenings) before my due date, so hoping I don't go early as I won't have a clue! They were really busy and said they have refused people before, so call them ASAP.

Hi all. GISI I know what you mean about ur scan today, good luck for itMine is booked for next Tuesday afternoon and I am starting to feel exactly the same as you!! Trust us to have them booked for the afternoons too!!
I went to a local exercise class called Go Bump last night which is just for pregnant women (funny that going on the name!!). It was really good and I think I am gonna keep going each week, I go with my friend from work who is due a day earlier than me. We used those blow up exercise balls for quite a bit of it and I am tempted to get one... just not sure how much I would use it at home and would it just end up getting in the way??
