Lucky you on the leggings front. I am finding leggings and a little dress so comfy at the moment.
My mananager had never heard of KIT days. I'm hoping to use a few for monthly management meetings as these would really help me stay in touch with what's new, and then just a few as and when on days when hubby is home to look after baby. No idea what I will get paid for them, is it fairly standard to get your usual wage? If so that would top my SMP up quite nicely if I use one a month, and don't have to pay out for childcare.
Will look out for them then!
Mine hadn't heard of them either. I have been told I will get full pay for the 7.5 hours but it's something that you and your employer need to agree on, I wouldn't do it for anything less!
Even if you only go in for an hours meeting, it counts as a full KIT day.
I think by the time I'd work, paid my deductions and childcare it wouldn't be worth it.
Also, I am hoping that I get offered the job I go for in a few weeks and then won't come back at all!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Glam - I asked this whilst on my recent NEBOSH course and was told no evidence to support useage of photocopiers is harmful. Its the toner which carries chemicals that can be harmful to anyone when entered into the body, so maybe steer clear of changing toners, otherwise should be fine.. unless its in a enclosed space and your copyings thousands and the fumes are terrible..Received £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j
Received £1400 charges - 2006:j0 -
lol Glam, the photocopier feels like 1/2 my bl00dy job sometimes! I wish I could get out of using ittop 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Grr - stupid people have sent me the wrong powerlead - it doesn't even go together !!!!!!!!!! Apologies, but this means I still have no laptop at home
Glam - I've never heard about the photo copier thing. Seems an odd one - maybe it's from days gone by when they were huge thing which the big light IYSWIM I remember being told something about pregnant women are not supposed to change toner cartridges, but I couldn't find anything the back this up either!
RE - KIT days - I'm aware of them but I don't think my manager is. We are only a small company and there has only been one other pregnancy in the 9yrs I've been here. I might mention them before I go on ML as the extra money every now and again would be useful.
Jillie - can't believe your finishing before me, but has everyone has said, each preag and each person is different. I know I would hate being at home on my own for a few weeks...and I don't have a stressful or very active job. TBH - most of my duties has been passed on and I have to spend time on MSE just to pass the timeI know it would be very different if I already had a child or if I had experience any problems. I know I have been extremly lucky to have had sucha straight forward pregancy without any symptoms...(*goes off to touch wood*)
Fimgers crossed we have news from MM before 5pm, or I won;t get to find out until the morning- stupid laptop people!!!

Glam - leggings-wearing is covered in your work handbook?! wow!
My skin is OK, but def dryer AND more spotty, work that one out. Will def get some bio-oil though as that sounds tops.
Sorry to re-open the weight debate but am feeling really down about it at the moI try to avoid catching sight of myself in the mirror or shop windows but sometimes you can't avoid it (walking towards glass door of bank today) - aaargh! I just look huge and not in a good way! Like some lumbering takeaway-dependent, exercise-averse couch potato. Just ugly. I hate it! No pleasure in clothes at the mo, even some of my mat clothes are too tight now
and no point getting anything 'for when I'm back to normal'. Just feel hot, sweaty and fat fat fat (not that it stops me eating like a horse of course
)
I know my body's doing something amazing in building a baby but that thought never quite makes me feel better.... help!
On HiPG, I sent mine off at 25+2 and had the £190 in my bank account a week later - super efficient!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

I hadn't heard the photocopier thing either - fortunately for me I have other people to do my photocopying for me
Nah - I rarely use the thing anyway, it's crap!
Will have to remember about toner as I do occasionally get my hands dirty with them!
Yeah - 20mins left then I can go home :j
I've eaten so much fruit today I feel stuffed - these trousers are going to have go I think. I can't sit down in them!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
