I managed to get a replacement battery for my doppler, the battery can be re-charged but thought buying a new battery rather than a charger would be cheaper.
It's prob a bit early but i decided to have a play, i could only find my own heatbeat lol it will be really hard to tell which is me and which is the baby anyway because i have the same fast heart rate and the mw had tons of trouble when i was pg with ds she kept saying there it is then oh not it's not that's you lol.
I thought you got to hear it at the first scan so i was a bit disapointed not to, it must be the 2nd one you hear it. Swear i felt a flutter then.

Well i did get a stupid trainee, It was awful we really thought it was all over, i know they have to keep a dead pan face, don't show any emotion or say anything but she could see how upset and nervous i was and she should have said all is ok but i am going to need a little help getting measurements. I should have said something but i am too nice. She turned the screen away and i bearly saw a thing.
Going to be making up for it though as mw said i am having at least 3 more scans including the 20 wk one.

When is your next one? soon isn't it? bet you can't wait.

Just popped on before I leave work, my power lead didn't turn up at work so my lappy still isn't working!!!! I wanted to wish MM the very best of luck for tomorrow. I hope your out having a fab eve with Jas. Aw, you're gonna have you little bubba in your arms tomorrow

Ooh was this with a normal mw though? i am seeing a consultant for my 16 wks and not sure they will be doing anything like that. I don't see my mw until 25 wks:eek:

I heard the heartbeat at the 16wk MW appointment too for the first time. This was with a normal community midwife. Don't know anything about consultants unfortunately.

As Fitzio, It was with a normal MW, I'm not sure about consultants.

My next scan is in a week! Am looking forward to it, but sad that DH can't make it. Hope they can take the blasted measurements this time!

The sonographer I got was really nice and friendly...was smiling and helpful and seemed genuinely excited about the baby. I must've just gotten lucky! My next MW is 16 wks, too.
