No. Call the doctor and do not be fobbed off with a secretary. Do it now.

Thanks sugar, will give them a buzz I've just eaten as well thinking it might be that, but i feel like poop really hot and heart racing. I think it being so hot in the office isnt helping either..

  • this is the thing though - you (here I mean 'one' not anyone in particular!) can want a boy or a girl but that's probably because you think you want a certain set of things (behaviours, attitudes, interests etc) that you associate with the idea of boys or girls... but that's different from what you will get from your own particular baby that's on its way. I just think it's helpful to put the idea to one side and try to focus on the individual... who will probably bring a far more complex range of behaviours etc than you associate with 'girl' (including some you associate with 'boy')

I guess I just got to the point where I didn't want to be upset for having a girl - it wasn't her fault that I wanted a boy and it was up to me to deal with my feelings. Thinking of her little face just made me refocus on the individual (who if she's anything like her mother, will spend a lot of time doing boyish things anyway :D )

Edit: nanc I'd get that checked out... a bit of mush brain is normal but sounds like something a bit different - worth the call if only to put your mind at rest

Hello Krystal, how are you all? X
Hi Tara, we're fine thank you... Hubby's been back at work a week now, the house is starting to go to pot and I keep forgetting to drink enough because he's not here to wait on me hand and foot lol... I have a baby who likes to be held very much... But that's fine, she's only going to be this small for a very short time so I might aswell hold her... And at least she sleeps... Aimee never slept so it doesn't matter how miserable Caitlyn is, I just keep telling myself to be grateful she sleeps and long may it continue!

    How are you coping?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Fidget - those things are rubbish!!! If you just ate that cereal according to the serving size (which is tiny), you'd be absolutely ravenous by about 10am! Or I would anyway :rotfl:. The best 'cereal' breakfast is either porridge (like ml said) or breakfast plus something else (trying using yoghurt instead of milk and adding a banana!).

On that topic, they did a cool test in the morning newspaper a few weeks back...tested some guy's blood sugar after a load of different breakfasts and see what worked the best for keeping body happy 'til lunch. The winner was porridge/oatmeal of course (especially if you had sultanas/banana/fruit on top) but 2nd place was a full English! :T

My favorite way to eat porridge/oatmeal is with a spoonful of Splenda and a dollop of reduced sugar jam. Fruity and sweet!

would like to win a holiday, please!!

    Nanc, call the doctor.

Decided against a nap as I've not cleaned up DS2's mess from this morning. He decided to have chocolate milkshake powder for breakfast and it's everywhere! My own fault for not getting up at 6am with them.

Headache starting again and I still feel like pants.

    Morning ladies!

elle - great news about Rhys's feeding, I still can't believe how far he has come in such a short space of time!

I had a few little niggles last night, but nothing happened and I feel back to normal now. I just think I am a labour symptom hyperchondriac at the moment and jumping to conclusions at every little pain or ache :o.

When I told DH that I had a few pains - he started to get really worried and scared. So much so, that I had to comfort him all evening, stroking his arm saying "there, there, it will all be ok". I then thought shouldn't he be doing that to me?!:rotfl:

Love and labour vibes to all, x

I feel really guilty in saying i want a girl. I don't intend on having any more children so one of each would be lovely. But it will be a boy as there isn't any girls at all in the family i am the only one and i will be fine with that. i am used to boys. At the end of the day this baby is so much wanted it doesn't matter what sex it is. But still i can't help the tug on my heart for a girl. I feel even worse as i find myself wishing my sil has a boy she is now 5 days over due and i want to be the first to have a girl. Aren't i a cow but i just know it will be sods law she will pick my girl name.

I will find out either way on the 4th aug as i have my 20 wk scan it doesn't sound to far away really.

I think i have managed to book a hol but the lady hasn't got back to me for def. I found it cheaper to book a hotel with breakfast included than to go to a self catering park. Thanks for all the help and links though.
Just shows every where is different some wanted £200 for ds for the week another wanted £12 a day for him but this one he is free :jand we have been to the hotel before so we know it is ok.

I'm starting to get my bump! :T I can definitely feel something there now, and sometimes when i lie in bed my belly feels firm and definitely like there's something in there! I keep prodding, it's definitely sprouted from nowhere in the last few days.

Isn't it lovely, Beenie? While I had a little bump for a few weeks that me and DP could see and feel when not a lot of clothes on, literally the last 48 hours I've popped and have a definite bump now - Saturday morning one of my best friends said I didn't look any different, Sunday afternoon another friend said OMG you got rounder! And I only saw that friend last on Friday night!

It makes me happy because hopefully thats the little one growing -especially as the initial little bump was lopsided due to my lovely growing fibroid and I am now more evenly rounded!
  • Glad you've got a break sorted elasti :D

We're not having any more hols til Cub arrives so DH can have 4-day weeks from then til xmas. But it's gonna be hard, everyone at work counting down til their hols and talking about nothing else. Might take a week off myself (I get better hols than DH) but won't go anywhere (I'd miss him anyway too much how sad is that?!) a staycation or whatever it's called.
