She said woman who are made aware of the risks find that the experience is less traumatic after the event.
Erm, I dont think so!!
I will find a hysterectomy extremely traumatic, !!!!!! im 33!!
As for death, I need to look after my kids.
Im still dazed, stunned, p!ssed off and its almost 12 hours from that conversation. I dont know wether to cry or tell them to go to hell, I want to go home to my mummy lol.0 -
I think the hysterectomy would be something that you would never want at your age, but saying that if it was that or death, you would take it!!
Try and think of those as what they are though, worst case senarios !! You will be fine, they are keeping a close eye on you so will have you in and out of theatre as soon as they can when they need toThe two best things I have done with my life

I really dont want to kill the thread or bring everyone down. I feel in such a strange mood. Im going to go walk a few corridors lol. I'll be back on later.
ETA I know its worst case scenario, but im the type who's terrified of getting a tooth out. I just feel scared about the whole thing. They seem like very real risks.0 -

Oh Mrs M- sending big hugs your way. That is a pretty scary thing to hear so I'm not surprised you feel a bit weird about it all. As MM says, I'm sure the chances are very small, but they do have to tell you all the risks.
MM- glad you proved us all wrong and the muffins turned out fine.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Hey - we all need to know that these things could happen to any of us. You're not bringing us down but preparing us for what could happen.
Like MM said, you'd take a hysterectomy over death any day and you're better off having all the information beforehand.
You've made it this far and astonished the doctors already so don't worry!
Right - might not be on for a few days so mouths closed, fingers on bejewelled not MSE and legs crossed please. Don't want to miss anything!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Aw Mrs Moc - I think MM has said everything I would have. Although a hysterectomy is not ideal, if is better than the other alternative mentioned. Please remember it is worst case senario...HUGS0

evening all!!
hi bump buddies!!
hope you are all well.
just ate loads of rocky road ice cream. it was delicious!!!!
have cancelled tomorrows appt for BP/urine as that would mean i'd been checked 3 times in a week .made appt instead next wwk with mw so hopefully will get the HIPG form then. and have listen to the heartbeat!! we love hearing it!!also want to find out if there are any groups/classes we/i can go as we havent sorted any of those out yet.
baby was kicking loads last night and hubby got to feel loads of them. only got booted once in the head but that serves him right for putting his head on bump!
am amazed by how much movement there is, never realised babies moved so much in the womb. wish now i had felt mum's bump when she was pg with my sister.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0
