To go up when DH gets home (he finishes at 6pm). Will decide when he gets home if I'm going up alone or if we will bother to get someone to watch the kids, but if they do bloods then it's a stay of 4 hours, if I'm not admitted. Technically while you wait for the bloods you are an inpatient anyway so might go grab my bag and put my book in.

My fruit loaf tastes all right but I feel sickly so can't enjoy it.

Oh and my friend had her scan, she is officially 14/3weeks and baby looks good. And as I told her, only one, you just seem to get bigger quicker after the first (though this is her 3rd pregnancy). Don't think she will get excited till after 16 weeks at least though.

 Why even consider washing up when you have a dishwasher?! :p (I don't have one.. am just jealous ;))

Tia, get your shoes on and be ready to go when OH walks in the door!

Right, that nurse is one small step from an official complaint. She's just told me, jovially, that she didn't read Rhys' drug chart fully this morning and she missed his 8am meds (anti-acid drugs for the reflux). Oddly enough, she wasn't laughing anymore once she saw the look on my face. Going to speak to the night nurses (we think it's pretty much the whole set of the good ones due in!) then the consultant in the morning (don't see much of them in the afternoons/evenings).

Having a calming cup of tea now in the flat before I throttle her!

In better news, Rhys is currently on his hour off CPAP and doing really well. His sats (oxygen saturation in his blood, measured by the glowing thing you might have seen on his hand in the pics) are well up around 98-100 (out of 100) :D He looks really calm and has had his eyes open wide and has been looking around. We wanted him to sleep and stay calm but he was too into what was going on and he looks so gorgeous with his eyes open we didn't want to leave! :o OH has gone to feed him now. I'll go back through at six when the hour is up to hold his hand when the CPAP is put back on (doesn't hurt him, he just doesn't like it and tries to fight the mask off his face).

Now, where's the M&S bikkies to go with this cuppa?...

Elle - Don't mess about with her put in a complaint and say you don't want her to touch him again!

Elle, his alarm has stopped going off then?! :j That is great news, especially that he is becoming more alert too. I would complain about that nurse too. A wee missed med here and there can set them back days when hours are important. Plus she is adding more strain onto you which you so don't need. You can ask that she not be allowed near your son and they will have to swap her to another room. Get your Rhys-atrition hat on now ;)

I'm ready to go, bag is packed (but I will not be staying in) and my book is in my bag too. Got a bottle of water to drink too. Any luck they will just give me antibiotics and send me home. Might ask for one of those magic indigestion pills too :D

Elle - I can see why you're angry - I can't believe she thought it was amusing in any way. Something small like one missed med can have repercussions - she should know that. I'd complain as well, and make sure she's not near Rhys again. What a horribly cavalier attitude she has!
