    Morning all

Well done Mrs M for hanging on in there!

I took the afternoon off work yesterday for a spot of shopping with my mum. 3 hrs of shopping later I really suffered until 3am with an ouchy tummy. All tailed off about 3am though. Still didnt get much sleep so not going into work until this afternoon. half days at work dont seem as bad as full days.

My brother's moving to Holland today and although he has not been the best son to our parents and done somethings that make me angry, I'm quite sad that he is going especially when I know how much he was looking forward to his first niece. He is pretty much running away from large debts he's built up and abandoning his house for the bank to take because he doesnt want to declare himself bankrupt. I just wish he'd been able to meet his niece before he went.

Time for a cookie I think xx

  • Morning -

haven't been around for a while - have I missed anything important?

In london again yesterday but wasn't quite so tiring probably cos it wasn't so hot! Am def in comfy shoes and clothes mode now and usual business dress is out the window (well, in the loft) means i do feel dowdy and bulky in meetings but I guess i don't care quite enough to go out and buy up the isabella oliver catalogue! Got some fab stuff come through from M&S though - they have some mat clothes in their limited collection - got some cropped linen trousers which are nice and some wide fit sandals (and the father's day card 'you're the mane man, Dad' as suggested by Sami :D)

    Hope everyone's well

    Morning all,

I was up at half 4 this morning  Went back to bed at quarter past 6 after hubby had gone to work, then alarm went off at 7 so up to get DS ready for school. I'm finding it sooo hard to get comfy in bed now, sometimes my bump goes really hard and it feels like my lungs are being squashed - really uncomfortable.

Took DS to school and one of the classroom assistants asked if DS was a big baby because I look like I'm going to burst!

Got some veg soup in the slow cooker and a rice pudding ready to go in the oven.

Good luck for your scan Elastigirl :T

    Good morning,

Hope everyone is well. Good luck with scans.

Absolutely rubbish nights sleep. Woke up after an hours sleep with killer heartburn, and to the lovely sound of OH Snoring. (Finally got himself some sleeping tablets from the doctor after weeks of not sleeping since being in hospital). So took myself off to the spare room. Had to sit upright for about an hour, waiting for the pain / reflux to stop. Then woke up again at 4am with cramp in my calf. Also had numerous visits to the loo all night. Feel knackered now. Have no idea how i will cope when it comes to getting up for night feeds come mid-september.

Cannot believe Searching was able to make it on here last night. Think i will go AWOL for a good few weeks, once giving birth. She must be far too organised. Or on a baby high. ;)

Really, really could just put my head down on the desk and sleep.

Did anyone get Emma Jane bras sent to them in the end? I had 2 arrive about 2 days after Sam did. They are both white and ugly as sin! Although one is comfy. They are definitely full cup with thick straps and a wide back strap. No way would I have bought them! Will try and take pics if noone else received/ if anyone is interested.

Emily B ones (from ebay) are pink and pretty with normal sized straps and a 2 hook back. I prefer the plain pink one with 2 thin straps. The other one is nice, but slightly weird and not quite as comfy. Good bargain prices though.; I also have 2 m&S bog standard cotton ones, one in black,. one in white. Should do for now!

All this talk I'm doing of nursing bras is making my b00bs tingle!:rotfl:Good job Sam is just now due a feed (must be - haven't fed him fpr nearly 3 hours):D

Lovely colleague just came up to me and said I don't look any different and am 15 weeks this week. My next midwife appointment isn't for another 2 weeks - hope it won't be bad news. Was beginning to think a couple of weeks ago I wouldn't be able to hold out much longer for maternity wear and suddenly this week all my clothes (admittedly not my 12's but my 14's) feel OK.

Argh. Pregnancy paranoia! Tell me I am not the only one!

Hi always29, no! you're not the only one! I'm 21wks today and am sick of people saying I don't look any different. I can wear size 12 trousers still but need a bobble to do them up. I've deffo put weight on probably over a stone but I don't have a bump as such. If I was dead skinny you'd probably see it more.

I do worry I might be told there's something wrong with the growth but I can feel bubs moving fine and if I remember rightly I had a fall at about six months gone with my DD and I had to tell the girl who helped me up that I was pregnant, she couldn't just tell by looking. Might just be the way we carry and it's still early yet x
