    Hi all..

Rhys is "plodding along, just being Rhys" in the words of the SHO this morning :) We've got the not-so-nice nurse today and it appears she hadn't read his notes as she was adamant he hadn't spent 6 hours off CPAP on Sunday when he did! The consultant didn't look too happy with her and ended up asking me for more of an update than the nurse! The plan now is to try Rhys off CPAP for an hour at a time a few times a day and then put him back on it even if he's doing well so that he doesn't get too tired. Then they'll gradually build up the time over the next week or so to strengthen his muscles and see how we go from there :)

Boss has finally been in to visit this morning and thinks he's gorgeous and that I'm a good mum :) Luckily she only came in to witness me feeding him and not the messy nappy I had to deal with just before hand! ;)

OH's mum coming in at half one and I need to return my lunch tray and pick up the expressing kit from the Dairy before then so best get a move on - don't want MIL catching me with my boobs out! :o

Happy birthday to Glam - fingers crossed for a big boost for the baby fund at the races! :)

Hope all the scans go well and everyone has a good day :)

    TTFN xx

Hi i ve been lurking around this thread for a while now and as i am now 13 weeks, and had a scan on Sunday. I would like to be able to join if thats ok. Also a quick question as anyone else got a bicornuate womb, ( Heart shaped womb) ? I found out i had one many years ago and this is my 2nd pregnancy but had a m/c at 11 weeks about 8 years ago. So this is the 1st time i ve got to 13 weeks. Spoke to the m/w about it and she did not seem too worried. However i have never meet anyone else with is ? My edd is the 15th of dec. thank you :o

    Hi Lou

I have one too. Do you know how bad yours is? The outcome of the pregnancy and the risk factors apparently depend on the degree to which the uterus is split. Mine wasn't discovered though until after I'd successfully given birth to my first child. I've had 4 pregnancies: one miscarriage which was not related to the shape of the uterus, two live births, and one still in production. In fact the only problem I've ever had with mine was the inability of several doctors to insert an IUD without putting me under general anaesthetic and using a hysteroscope! If you are concerned though, can you not ask to be referred to consultant care, as they may be able to answer your questions more fully

Elle, I'd complain about that nurse not reading notes - didn't she throw out a tube before that was requested for testing?

I'm glad Rhys is doing so well.

Elle - I'm really surprised they continue to put the not-so-nice nurse with Rhys. She has shown she is incompetent by not being thorough about keeping up to date on his care. Can't you ask them not to assign her to Rhys anymore?

Yes, SS, it's the same one. Think we might ask the lovely one when she's in next (hopefully tonight as she was in last night) how it all works and how they work out who's assigned to who and see where we go from there. Especially don't want her now as Rhys isn't on one-to-one care anymore (too well ;)) and so shares the nurse with the other baby in the same room and this particular nurse knows the parents of the other one so spends her time chatting to them.
