Tia - is your FH below 'normal' too then?

I had a big chat with my doula today and she thinks I'm not small, just that the baby is lying awkwardly, and she's really made me feel better about everything, giving me things to say to the doctors and reassuring me I can still have a home birth if I stick to my guns (assuming baby is just small, not growth !!!!!!).

Are they giving you two scans? My doula said they should give you more than one scan otherwise they can;t really tell how much it is growing. I've only got one booked though.

Well, now I have done my duty in posting the photo !!

Went to the physio and I am now in pain !!! She said the right hand side of my pevis is higher up than the left hand side and she was going to try to manouver it back into place and proceeded to push her fingers into my bones
I then had to lie on my back with my right leg out straight and my left leg bent at the knee, and she pulled the leg down while pushing the rest of me upwards using my left knee !!
Was really uncomfortable but she said that it made a big difference and we wil need to do it again after the baby is born. I will be sore for a couple of days and am not to do any lifting or too much bending untill I am not as sore but should be fine in a few days again

Skinty, they sound like they are not what you were looking for in inlaws so don't worry about it! I wish mine were like that rather than in your face wanting to know what colour your last poo was and what you think your next will be like. Hell, they'd ask for a sample if you let them!

My MIL started the 'what contraception are you going to use after this one' conversation with me at the dinner table infront of Jasmine last week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said I didnt know and changed the subject and she started on Chris telling him he should get the snip !! He was very un amused
Most of the time they are great, but can go a bit far sometimes !!

I'd prefer that! I am a TMI girl and would happily tell them stuff like that but they aren;t even interested in the fact we need a scan to check the baby is OK!

So far yes, but due to a small problem with the placenta (high pressure in the blood flow from me to the placenta) and the 'raised' BP along with the history of PE, she needs a scan to ensure she is growing as she should. She is smaller than the boys were (on the charts) so I think she takes her height genes from my parents, my Dad is 5ft6inch and my wee mommee is only 5ft3inch. My brother is 5ft7inch and I'm 5ft5inch. The boys are like their Dad, tall.

Will get a scan now and more afterwards, but that is growth and to check on the placenta. You may find you get another about 34-36 weeks.

Harley - my understanding is that if you work Mon-Fri you have to start your ML on the Sunday. So starting ML on teh 13th would mean I wouldn't work from Monday 14th.

I have now decided to start ML on 20th Sept (39+5) :eek: and will take my annual leave before that IF I feel that I need to finish.

Aless - your company have no obligation to let you carry any annual leave over. My holiday year runs April - March, I have requested to carry over any annual leave that's left over when I go on ML to tag onto end of ML in June 2010 and they have agreed but they didn't have to.

My baby is awake AGAIN and kicking me! STARTING TO THINK HE MIGHT BE LIKE OH AND ONLY SLEEP FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS THEN WAKE UP :eek:
