Just rushing on, no time to read posts as have to rush out to yoga, but MW visit didn;t really go that well.
I am measuring 29 cms (well, the first attempt it was 31cms but she did it again) and she has sent me for a scan to measure teh baby next Thursday.
She then said that if I am small I have to go under a consultant who won;t want to let me have a home birth, that if baby is born under 7lbs then even if I have a HB I then have to go into hospital, and just loads of stuff I didn;t want to hear.
I made her do the HB forms and said I intend to have a HB unless there are serious issues, and she did say she'd support me in what I want, but I got the impression I might have to fight for it.
I didn;t mention feeling down cos there was just too much else to worry about!
She isn;t sure which way up baby is, whether it is maybe back to back, whether it has two heads lol, basically she cannot feel what is what in there.
She thinks it's a girl though, from the HB, which is interesting.
Anyway, I have to rush out the door and will come back later or tomorrow but thanks everyone for your kind thoughts, words, and dodgy hugs and I will catch up properly and reply properly later.

Skinty, if she can't feel the baby then it is probably back to back which would account for some of the smallness of your bump... Added to the family history of small babies...
I can't believe that if it is otherwise healthy then they would refuse a homebirth on the grounds of it being small... And an average baby can be anything from 6-9lbs so she can shove her 7lb where the sun don't shinehttp://www.homebirth.org.uk/ has information on small babies and homebirths...
