*sigh* Now the docs are concerned Rhys is peeing TOO much.. First his kidneys didn't work at all, then they did, then they were working but not too well, this morning they were improving and now they think they're in overdrive and kicking out too much! On the bright side, they were on the phone to kidney specialists in Nottingham when we left earlier so they are looking into it sharpish. Yesterday they were concerned he'd put on too much weight and today they think he's lost too much (ie peed it out) It could just be that he's got really watery poo and they can't tell cos they're not measuring his wee output directly any more.

There was brief mention in the background that it could be to do with what I'm eating (although they never actually asked what I've been eating!), but other than them warning me off orange juice, they haven't said anymore.. Need to go back through there in twenty mins to do his feed (my first time at tube feeding!) so will ask then..

OH has gone home for a while.. he's been in a strop for the last few hours so I hope he comes back in a better mood!

I have had a lovely birthday. My friend took me out for breakfast, my mum took me out for lunch and a ride on a canal boat and DH is taking me out for a meal tonight. I am shattered already think i will try and have a nap before meal. I will get back to the healthy eatting some time soon lol

This sounds like nothing more than a gues honey, and based on not a lot really seing as 'they' say bubba's put on 1/2lb a week in the last 6ish weeks, if bump is 7 1/2 now then at term in 3 wks s/he would be 9lbs :p

I know, but sonographer last week said about 7lbs too, so probably will be biggish !!
Anyway, doesnt matter now, I have made my decision to have the section now anyway, s/he can be whatever size they want :p

Also I was told Jas would be about 7 lb and she was 9lb 1/2 oz !!
The two best things I have done with my life

I feel like I was in your shoes 2 weeks ago, was sure they were going to take baby away as I could not cope with looking after myself let alone a new baby. Yes I have had to go back on meds but have now accepted that this is the treatment that works for me. I also have lots of support from midwives and mental health team, currently having 2 appointments per week to get me through. Yesterday was the day I came to terms with the fact that after the baby is born PND will more than likely kick in with a vengance. ( I have been hospitalized with depression, so I know the fear of ending up back in the unit unfit to look after my baby.) I am being reassured at every turn that because I have the support in place early this should not happen.
I am gutted that I will probably be on meds after a few weeks so will not be able to breast feed for very long, but it is more important for me to be at home with baby.

sorry that turned into a long post.:o
Check out the Breastfeeding Networks drugline and information sheets, there are anti-depressants that are compatible with breastfeeding :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

MM - at private scan the woman said this one was a big baby prob 9lbs :p (my guess is 7lb 5oz absolute maximum ;)) Chris was really tall so they assumed he would be heavy but he wasn't.
OH and I both were 56cm at birth as was Chris and none of us were heavy :D

Hi I know I should have already looked these things up but a girl in our office started gloating a bit when I said I was hoping to take a year off with extra maternity leave. She said "you won't get paid at all for anything over 9 months you know" I felt a right duffuss that I didn't know this and am a bit worried now. I would still like to take a year if I can obviously would be better if it was paid, but now I realize how little I know about this stuff! Anyone who could poss give me a v.brief idea of the procedure would be a real help ta x
