they'll happily supply a new N70 in that case(Postage and packing and admin fees will probably be in the region of £3-400)0 -
£300 TO £400?? are you joking? even If I extend my contract? what do they normally say if someone loses the phone? i wont mention wanting an N70, what options would they give me?0

I think you'll find woby_tide was trying to point out that you'll have to pay if you want an N70! There is no way they would replace a lost/stolen phone without any insurence, just the same a car, home contents etc. If you really want the N70, get your W800i fixed, sell it, use the profit to pay off your contract and take out a new one with an N70, sorted.0

right okay thanks guys, I thought as a gesture of goodwill they might let me take out a new contract.0

You could drop your contract to the lowest available tariff for the remaining 6 months or pay the remaining 6 months off just now and then you could cancel contract and take out another or just lower the tariff and take out another contract anyway depending on what you can afford, i have 2 02 contracts taken out within weeks of each other. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

chances of them cutting me a deal, 6 months contract to go would they let me pay it off with 3 months payments or the like? what do you think?0

so 6 months into a 12 month contract where they gave you a free £300 handset that you can't be bothered to get fixed under warranty and you think you deserve a goodwill gesture? I'd hate to see what you would have been expecting as an upgrade if you'd made 12 months payments, Vertu maybe, with a butler included to press the buttons?0 -
so much for people trying to help me save money, no money saving experts in sight.0
