Morning everyone. It's cooler today here but still dry with a breeze so all the washing is out. Lunch will be pasta salad leftover from last noghts dinner and dinner this evening is chicken curry & rice - at least it's cool enough to make & eat it now ;)

Going food shopping this morning then going through the childrens rooms this afternoon    I've given up asking them to keep them tidy so I'll do battle myself to start with then they can all keep on top of it - or thats the plan anyway. DD isn't bad it's the boys. Oh well I shall enjopy my time with black bin bags merrily [STRIKE]throwing[/STRIKE] 'tidying' stuff away :D

Good luck to those with exams today. We went through it last year and will again next year but we've got this year off.

Jackie O Thinking of you at the hospital today.

    Penny Pincher (((((hugs))))) to you.

Diva Hope you're doing ok. Thanks for the lovely pm.

Stefjb Hopefully it'll be a small unobtrusive hearing aid & your DD will be so pleased to hear properly that she'll wear it ((hugs)) to you & her.

Have a great day everyone & I'll no doubt be on later ;) xxx

Another one here with a daughter doing history today  She was flicking through her notes in the car and panic suddenly set in.
She wants to do A level history, although Classics rather than modern, so I think she is piling on the pressure.

I've been to the Lock Shop and bought a replacement key for opening the window locks. We put them on ages ago and have managed to lose the key  with this heat, it has become a nightmare. Fortunately, it was only in 2 rooms, the ones at the front have had new frames so we are ok with those.

I'm trying out Weezl's lentil pate recipe this morning, since DD went veggie, I'm on the lookout for interest dips/sandwich fillers.

Love and hugs to all :grouphug: The Twit.

    :hello: Good morning!

    halight - My DD2 shares your twins' birthday - she'll be 32 though :p

stefejb - (((HUGS)))hon - With any luck your DD will be so delighted to hear better that she won't mind the aid x

Penny_Pincher - Glad you and DD are pleased with your haircuts!

tired mum - Good luck with the interview

Sounds as if peoples' fruit and veg are growing well!

WM is on with the first load - bedding. 2nd load will be a skirt and top which have been hanging on my wardrobe door since last summer without a cover on them so the shoulders are dusty :o

We took some stuff to the Red Cross shop y'day, all good stuff including the siut I wore to DD2's wedding. It's lovely - originally bought in the Jacques Vert sale, but i knew I wouldn't have worn it again as it was too Mother of the Bride IYSWIM :D Perhaps I'll see it in their window tomorrow :D

Did anyone else watch "Mary Queen of Charity Shops"? I was shocked at the things some people "contribute" - used nappy, anyone?
  • Morning all!

Good luck to everyone doing exams, seems a long time since i was doing them!

Not much OS going on here today. My main task today is to sort my craft cupboard (AKA the tardis), since I moved here in November things have been thrown in :o Am thinking it could take most of the day so have not planned much else.

Am making a chicken pie for dinner today, got the filling from the freezer so jst need to make the pastry. OH is coming home for lunch, he whisked more than enough eggs for omlettes last night so will cook it and make into egg mayo for his lunch.

Hope you all have a great day,
    LMMS :)

    Good morning everyone :D

Lovely and sunny here, but cooler than yesterday :T My gift of a box of plants from HERE arrived yesterday, so a productive time was spent planting them all :D Considering fedex had just lobbed the package over my sidegate because I was out, it's a testament to how well packed they were that no damage ensued  I should be cropping salad leaves within a couple of weeks judging by the size of them :j:jAnd my tomatoes and courgettes have baby fruits swelling nicely, if I can avoid knocking any more off as I brush past :o

Thinking of all those with exams today.
    JackieO, fingers crossed for you.
stefe, hope you get a better night tonight. Poor DD12, it's a lot to cope with at her age. ((hugs)) to both of you.

Well I'm going into the garden which is looking rather more gardenish and a lot less jungleish:rotfl:Hope you all have good days :D

    Morning everyone.
Late posting today. Was up several times in the night with DD and as such she slept in so had a little lie in. Don't feel any better for it, in fact feel headachy :( Can't win.....
Anyway off to The Big Town (as my DS calls it - can you tell he likes Brum?!!!). It is in fact Birmingham we are going to. Going to meet H for lunch and take the kids to see him. Might pop and see my dad at his work too (as he likes to show off the kids!!!!).
So very little in way of cleaning or OS jobs being done today which is probably good as I don't feel that motivated this morning!
DD had worked out how to bottom shuffle so I think we will by-pass the crawling stage. Only problem is she's fascinated with coals on the electric fire (don't worry it's unplugged) and she won't leave it alone. She knows she's not supposed to touch it but keeps looking behind her to see if I am looking. Which of course I am!!!
Tea tonight is chicken, bacon, courgette and onion pasta bake with creme fraiche.
Hoping its a wee bit cooler today as yesterday was stifling.
Have a good day all OS or not!
