I have spent literally weeks trying to find this sort of system and have been hard pushed to get under £800 even building my own.
This system will last a long time without the need to upgrade because of the high spec.

I reckon its possible to self-build an equivalent system at the Dell price. Just less hassle to have it done for you of course

Trust me, I know a thing or two about building a PC and am not afraid to do so but with THAT spec even I couldn't match it........unless anyone knows better??
Gauntlet time me thinks.0 -
I think you'd been better off via Dell outlet - you could have got one with X800SE for that price (I think)
Mark.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -

Computer Fairs usually have good prices - plus you can huggle with them.0 -
Yes it is fairly cheap but then you get what you pay for.
I doubt that it is a good motherboard.
It will have on board sound.
And why a PCI graphics card?
What is the make of RAM? What is the make of HD?
Etc etc.
I prefer to build my own. In the end I know exactly what I am getting and I know that later I can upgrade it with no hassle. The problem with Dell is that they do use custom made bits which ensure that you cannot upgrade the machine yourself.0 -
Go to Comp Fairs every month, I agree 'some' good deals but NO warranty plus no-one ever huggles me there

I specifically wanted a sep Graphics Card for Gaming, CHECK THE SPEC, it's a cracking deal!!

Ok man.
PCI is far far away from the PCI-Express. ;DYes it is fairly cheap but then you get what you pay for.

Max I'd spent on this machine is around £550 by building it from scratch on a nice monster case...
Apart from the processor, everything is fairly cheap nowadays... Just head to computer fairs...Titch

Warranty comes from manufacture of the indivual parts - and everyone huggles me at the computer fair, maybe thats why I like it;)Go to Comp Fairs every month, I agree 'some' good deals but NO warranty plus no-one ever huggles me there
