Clydebank - is that a horrible place?:cool:0 -
As G&B says, it would help if you'd say where in Scotland - it's a bit like trying to compare Cornwall and London.
Dammit. You answered while I was posting :rotfl:

But the Laws are the same all over Scotland aren't they?:cool:0 -

(I don't know Clydebank very well, but if you could afford the west end of Glasgow, it's quite nice there and reasonably close. There are also some nice towns not too far away, but someone from the West would provide better advice). There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

We have some friends that live near Stirling - Bridge of Allan actually and it is very nice but colder in winter. But you live in the North anyway don't you? You might not notice much difference.0

I'm an east coaster (though whole family is from the west) so i dont know Clydebank very well.
As Tigsteroonie said the education system is pretty different up here! NHS is better generally. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I think so too. I have a relative in Wales who had to pay £2000 a month for cancer treatment. If he'd lived here in Scotland he'd have got it for free. He saw his MP about it, fought for it, and eventually got it free too. He managed to pay for it, but his money wouldn't have lasted long if he'd had to carry on paying for it - some people have no choice because they can't pay for it. You shouldn't have to fight to get what people in other parts of the UK get too.
Prescriptions are being phased out here too. I think they're £4 at the moment.0
