    Sure but I was already being quoted nearly £3K off without scrappage.

    Yes, but Im sure they would have taken that into account. You are hardly likely to get £6300 off :)

    I wasn't looking at buying at list price in the first place.

    Well I've done this figures, and as much as it would be nice to get a new car it would not be economical to do so, even with the scrappage discount. If it fails the MOT I will be better off buying another second hand car with a bit more oomph than these cheap ones I think...
