Yay - went bankrupt today at 10am!!! I cant believe how easy it was and how nice everyone was. I got myself in far too much of a state worrying - now I've got to stress about waiting to hear from the OR!. Thanks for all the great advice!!:j

Ooh, I'd love to join to! My court date is set for 12.15 on June the 11th! :eek:
Totally terrified, keep getting nervous giggles for some reason! When I go to court to hand money over, is that pretty much that? Am I bankrupt from that moment, essentially?

And welcome to CJV :j and best wishes for your day at court. When you go to court, you pay the fee, then the judge will have a look over your proposal for bankruptcy. you may have to wait around a bit as the judge may or may not want to see you. You will be declared bankrupt by the judge on that day and given a copy of your papers then and there usually. You may also have a quick chat with the official receivers office just to confirm a few things like which bank account you are going to be using etc. Have a look for some of the diaries of those who have been through the BR process, it will give you an idea of the process.

Hey Everyone,
Using NDL for my DRO sent my forms and evidence 2 weeks ago (they have a 4 weeks delay) so awaiting my phone call. Hopefully it will be Ok, slightly worried though as my main income source for the year will be a student loan. Nothing said this wasn't allowed but still thinking that they may be like an IVA. Does anyone know if they allow income to be student loan?
