vivw - thats not sounding very good. How about phoning NHS24?
Or on the first page that lists all the threads in a particular forum, to the left of each of the thread titles is a little tick in a little blue box, if you click on that it'll take you to the last read post...most of the time it seems to work anyway!0 -
I got tempted and googled yankee tarts - they were on offer at 89p each. I ordered a few as i've only got about a dozen left
:rotfl:.
Off to clear 100 things from DS's room! xx0 -
Anyone got a simple wholemeal bread recipe for a breadmaker? Or do the packet mixes work ok? I need to test it out, got it at a car boot sale.0
-
vivw are you resting? Have you got a pack of peas or an ice pack ?
I am trying to rest it but find if I sit down its really difficult to stand up again. Think neveah is correct when she says its probably ligament damage. I so wish I'd gone out this morning and left the cleaning to laterWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
Excellent kids have got a virus on the laptop. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

We had a lovely walk - avoided the rain, got lots of fresh air, saw lots of interesting flowers we didn't recognise, a large bird of prey that we didn't recognise, and what was probably an adder, but we only saw it's tail as it vanished into the hedge!
soappie managed to get us round the route OK, despite the numbering on the map not matching the directions, and having to avoid a field of cows!
serena - we didn't actually visit Mottisfont Abbey, but if you are going, let us know as I'd love to join you, and we've found a nice pub and walk nearby, so you could have a full day out. If you want to look at the roses though, I'd go soon, as the ones in the village were looking (and smelling) pretty spectacular today!
ssl - why don't you post your steps in your signature too? Maybe it will incentivise you. If you get a new pedometer, make sure that the reset button is recessed so that you can't knock it, or that it has a cover. Try this site for LOTS of ideas!
boddy - sounds like you're right - you're walking a fair amount, so need to either eat less (or more of the right things!) or increase your exercise to compensate
SS - see above for ideas about where to get a pedometer!
rose - there's no need to tell us what you weigh (I'm not going to share that!), just post your steps in your signature daily, put a note of how much you want to lose and post your weightloss once a fortnight (don't bother weighing yourself more often)
For those who want the details of the programme rose was talking about... it's here. I plan to watch it later, but although I went to the farm shop after work, I need to go into town for a few bits and pieces. It's cold here, so I'm feeling very tired and demotivated too  and after my stressful week the house is in a bit of a state0 -

Oh! I only get that if I am subscribed to that thread! And it doesn't do that for me... so it's by the Flylady thread but not the daily thread...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Welcome 1 step closer - and it's not a competition to see who can do the most. You won't get kicked off if you under achieve. Do what you can without busting yourself. You get a star when you completed levels 1, 2 and 3 for a day.
Dusty - hugs to you too - cheery uppy and BA vibes winging your way
As Greenbee said - we had a lovely walk. The weather was extremely kind - no rain, some sun now and then and a cooling breeze. Lunch was very nice. BB is now snoring away on my bed!
Greenbee - sorry you're feeling down. Oh - and that plant we saw in the river that looked like a daisy, I think that's a water crowfootI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

You would think, having bought bargainous fragrance from me fave shop (Boots LOL) and ordered new prescription sunglasses which were half price AND I will get what I did pay refunded through my health insurance scheme I would be chirpy.
The perfume (Davidoff Cool Water Woman) was reduced to just over £22 then when I took it to the till they knocked off some more because it was damaged and I had a £5 voucher (new till spits) so it came to £13 odd PLUS I had a £5 Gift card (Mother's day) off DS so even better.
Then the shoplifter thing bleeped when I tried to make my getaway and of course I hadn't had it bagged so I had to ferret for the flippin receipt...
Sadly I have chirped up having discovered a tool on ActivPrimary for drawing circles (neatly) which overlap meaning I can produce a top hole Venn diagram. And I have.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
