    Jo's Veg Soup Recipie
    2 oninons chopped
    2 leeks chopped
6 large carrots peeled and chopped
    1/2 swede diced
    1/2 sweet potato diced
    5 potatoes peeled and diced
any leftover veg (cabbage, cauli etc etc)
    2 pints chicken stock
    knob of butter
    4 garlic cloves
    salt and pepper

    Method
Put butter in large pan and place onions and leeks and garlic in fry gently.
Once softened add all other veg and stock. May need more stock just enough to cover all veg.
    Add salt and pepper
Bring to boil and simmer for 50 minutes.
    Allow to cool and blend.

This soup is so nice and always goes down well in this house.

Valli hugs sweetie. You should have come for a coffee.

Hope the girls and pooch have enjoyed their walk.

I can't wait to get the all clear to fly again my house is such a mess. I miss my cleaning.

And i am bl00dy freezing may have to put the fire on in June :rolleyes: That is bad no wonder we all feel crap.

Personally, neveah, since the upgrade I click first unread and get 'shoved' to the end anyway - it helps me backtrack so I now also do it on other threads I'm a regular on.

Well, I've washed up, put the WM on, washed the kitchen skirting board, and put away my floordrobe. So that was very successful. When the pork is out of the fridge it will be much easier to clean the fridge, so I will wait til then.

I am trying to rest it but find if I sit down its really difficult to stand up again. Think neveah is correct when she says its probably ligament damage. I so wish I'd gone out this morning and left the cleaning to later
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Hugs Viv, I would elevate your leg - put it up on a chair or something, wrap a pack of peas in a tea towel and put it on your knee, and rest it. If you are still in pain later, try a compression bandage. The official thing is RICE: Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate

rose - if you go to the first page of any thread, there is a button marked 'read first unread' (I think!) and if you click on it, it takes you to the last post you have read. Or its meant to. I doesnt work for me anymore either!

vivw - thats not sounding very good. How about phoning NHS24?

If you put the fire on I might well pop over!

yes when I click 'View first unread' it takes me to either the last post or the top of the last page in which there are unread (by me) posts.
So thanking is my way of marking where I 'got to' in the thread.
That, technically, is not what the thanks button is for but it's the only way I have of keeping track.
