I haven't seen a hedgepig hereabouts for many along while...foxes, badgers, but no hedgepigs...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Ah.. but slug pellets kill the birds that eat the affected slugs and snails.. and the hedgehogs.. They die a horrifically painful death.
And.... they make the cats ill when they eat the affected dying birdies.
Porridge is meant to work as they prefer it, read it somewhere on mse, have no idea if it works0 -

michelle hope your boy is ok. You know I fully support you in your career, and I think you are a fab teacher, but maybe God is saying "stay at home with your boys" with this incident. If not, or in any case, I have a sheet on behaviour interventions that may be useful, will email if you want it.
He hasn't been too badly affected by it. A bit shocked i think, and he's been rather naughty today which i think might be from it. Only a small bruise on his temple and one on his cheek. We have an appointment for 7:45 tomorrow morning with the 2 owners of the nursery, and i think my focus will be why was my child allowed to be asleep on a floor where other kids are running around playing to knock things on him, and who on earth did the risk assessment. The key worker who fed back to me, her body language and what she said made me think that she didn't trust the decision of the woman who had said it was ok. I'll also check they have a record of it in the accident book. I think a case of not enough thought causing a senseless accident. I fully believe it could have killed a child if it had hit them right. Thank god it wasn't one of the tiny babies under it.
Hows your little girl with the chicken pox now?
Oh, and yes please to a behaviour worksheet.
Interestingly, my HOD said to me today from their point of view they believe i am doing ok.I don't know how messed up my head is, but not going to give in just yet i think.
kazwookie any tips on getting your cat to lose so much weight, and how long has it took you? Ours is about 4kilos overweight too, and we try and try to make him lose some but he is on special kidney food and we find it impossible. He is also disabled and can't use one of his back legs properly which definitely doesn't help him.
Dinner time almost. Jacket spuds from the freezer (leftovers from DS2's birthday BBq) and chilli (leftover from last night.) I've done the evenign round of plant watering and will get DH to do the washing up. I am really shattered again tonight, but i did sleep a lot better last night so that was a good sign i think.

Poohbear ~ send me one of your bathrooms, then you won't have the bother of cleaning it any more
My flying has been a bit pathetic this week....today was going to be my catch up day, but having my first dual carriage way driving lesson, followed by a half hour electrolysis left me wandering round town in a haze.....but a suprisingly productive haze, because I walked into a sports type shop with a 70% sale on, got ds2 new waterproof to take on school trip to Poland, and new polo top, plus a pair of crocs for myself:)
Cooked dinner, which ds3 said was the best he has ever had ( what a sweetheart ) and now I'm going to nip down the road to the polling station....may try and do a bit more of my lists when I come back.0 -
Ok, so I never thought I have a 100 things to throw out, sort of cheated a little as went through DD(4) felt tips and got 9 from her and also got OH to finally throw out his old work shoes and counted that as 2, but going to do landing cupboard, and be very, very ruthless so I'll get the other 51 from there!!!!
anyway, I think I'm doing well as it's my first week. But can someone kick my butt if they notice I'm slipping, just a quick Q? will I automatically get added each week or will I have to ask?

Its tonsilitis, and I thought she was better so went back to work yesterday, but got called home at lunchtime. DH has had her today, he is such a good dad, but last time he did it, he forgot to put a nappy on her!
She's much better today, thanks, and very bossy again.
Sheet is on its way.
I'm really sure you are doing well, its the teachers who dont reflect on their performance and dont worry over their planning who are normally the problem. kisses to your boys.
Just been to vote, you guys weren't kidding about the huge slip for the European Elections! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
My polling officer offered to make mine into an origami swan...I think she was joking!:rotfl:
DH decluttered to the polling station with his card (then I don't have to shred it!) :rotfl:xx0
