Hi all :hello:
I've got DD2&3 off today as their school is used as a polling station.
I'm another in the "women died to give us the right to vote" camp... + I'm in the "if you don't vote you have no right to EVER moan about anything that happens in the country" camp, + I'm in the "the price of peace is eternal vigilance" camp.
In other words ... get out and use your democratic right... even if you are really cross with em all at the moment.
We've been to the docs for dd2. We've been to sainsburys and to the chemist to pick a prescription.
I've got friends over for lunch today, so I've got to get that sorted our now.
I spent 2 hours clearing the bedroom of carp and 'gibble' last night. It was so nice going to bed in a clean tidy room. :j And DH spent all evening cleaning the desk of doom, which we've moved as part of out grand haulover of the downstairs rooms. SO I'm a happy bunny today.
Still waiting to hear back from the boys school, I anticipate a call later today.
See you all later
ETA : I REALLY MISS TOOTS. IT'S NOT FAIR. I WANT HER BACK! IT'S NOT THE SAME WITHOUT HER.BAH!!!!

Afternoon all
I was planning to do the bathroom today but DH casually said this morning that he had the day off work and he's doing stuff in his train room and that seems to mean things all over the landing so I can't easily get in there. So I'm going to do it tomorrow instead.
We went early to vote and I've done a load of washing which is dry and put away already. It was chilly first thing but it's a lovely day now.
So, instead I've been out in the garden. Cut the grass back and front, edged it and swept up. Then I tackled the weeds outside the garden walls, back and front. You know the ones, the sort that grow out of the concrete and you have a job to pull them out. Anyway, I've got nearly all of the roots out and swept up. I could do with a weed spray to put over there to get rid of the few deep roots that I couldn't get out. I had one before that was safe for animals and children so I'll have to see what I can get some time.
Took me a good couple of hours to do all that and my back didn't enjoy it much but I feel better for doing it.
Off to finish catching up before I start cooking.
Oh, and I vacuumed through downstairs and generally tidied up/washed up etc.
I defragged the computer yesterday and I've been spending time sorting out photos into folders so it looks less cluttered. Not much left to do there now.0 -

I've just decluttered 6 tall, teenaged girls out of my kitchen off to their English GCSE. I'm going to have lunch then HHI 1:30 - 2:00.
I went and exercised my voting rights - I never cease to be delighted to do that :T

Carlsberggal - stag beetles are Britain's largest beetle. The male has antlers and hence the name. They are an endangered species. This link here
http://www.wildlondon.org.uk/Habitatsandspecies/Species/Londonspriorityspecies/Stagbeetle/tabid/176/Default.aspx
explains all. They really are quite big. The one I saw was definitly male!
Crafty - yes - if your PC don't need doing, then don't and feel free to cross it off. I never do mine! And Toots said that if something doesn't need doing, it can be crossed off.
Pen-pen - tried to send you a PM but your box is full...
The dog and I have walked down the market and got some veggies. I was going to walk to the villagy part of town to get some more bacon but curtailed it because both the dog and I started to overheat a little bit. But we did a large circle in the end which I always find nicer than doing the same route there and back. I've just cooled down with an ice lolly and BB has had a good drink and is cooling down on my bed.
Off to finish the bathroom nowI am the leading lady in the movie of my life
