Buffy, try not to be so hard on yourself. Just take each day as it comes...or if it's really bad each hour. Things will get better and you will be debt free.
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D
  • I know some people think I am hard on myself but honestly I think I could do so much better. I just keep thinking other people have it worse and manage to keep a handle on things.. Anyhow I guess I shouldn't be comaring myself to other people. Linda's sig says something about the race being long and only with yourself?

Thank you Chev for your comments, you are probably right:A. I just feel ike I have been treading water too much, not getting anyway. When I come back from Weymouth I will PM you xxxxxx

Any how tonight I semi finished my room decluttering and know when I finish it upon my return from Weymouth it will be very nice and well organised!

The bits I have left to finish all involve trips out and sorting space in other rooms, so I am good with that.

Last thing to do is sort my Avon order out. best go to do that now.

I havent included my Rent(includes bills) or Loan figures/cc payments, but I do know about them!

    Have I missed anything huge?

This leaves me with a 100 pounds to cover socialising, extra food stuff, books, DVD's, driving lessons.....its not a real lot..........? I mean most of those things are treats?

This is my first try at one of these, inspite of being here for ages I have always focussed on making repayments and go through cycles of saving and splurging.

so I guess what I am saying is be kind!

£100 is pretty good for socialising and i am sure you can squeeze a tad extra out of the above. I try all the value stuff for toiletries and if i dont like it, i have wasted next to nothing.,,but i have to say that i don't find much if any difference. So give it a go and save some dosh.

So hopefully you will have extra for going out and funds for a fab lifestyle:D

Glad others were ok with my post phew.

Ref guinea pigs. Yes I know they are cute. BUT they are another tie on you. The pets are just a distraction because you are so happy. So use the money you would spend on the guinea pigs to get you out of debt quicker. Then when you move to your new house or whatever you can have a nice pair off Wol2!

Ref the budget. I always feel that toiletries except deodrant are a bit of a waste of time. But then I don't wear makeup and only use water to wash my face with, so I never spend on things like toner anyway. Of course it you know that if you eat healthier you would have better skin maybe so you woldn't need 'spot cream'.......

That was one thing i wondered about on your budget. There is no entry for food other than takeaway...Is this because you buy with your mum? If this is the case is she buying stuff that supports healthy living or not? If she isn't then you need to talk to her about this. If there is nothing healthy to eat then the default becomes eating unehealthily..

Also just because your rent covers all bills, doesn't meant to say you couldn't check that you are getting the best deals for all of these. That way if you make savings perhaps you could reduce the amount you pay a month. And then that is more towards the debts.
I hope you have a llovely time on holiday. Fingers crossed for the weather.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

    • Toner = 2.74 Witch Hazel works fab as a toner and is only around 60p a bottle
    • Cream = 6.36 What sort of cream is this?
    • spot cream= 3.98 Using the witch hazel will help with the spots
    • Body lotion = 2.40 Try using a basic aquaeous cream as an all over body and face moisturiser - it's a base cream so less nasties to irritate your skin and a huge pot will last for a good few months for around £3.50
    • Shampoo /con= 5.00 Stock up with on bogof
    • Deodorant = 2.00
    • Extra treatments = 10.00 What's this include?
    • Clothes = 20.00
    • Haircut = 10.00?
    • Takeaways = 15.00
    • Random items (earbuds, paper, cotton wool, pens, printer ink etc) = 10.00

    • Car = 30.00? (just covering tax and insurance at the moment) I assume this is a car you don't use, is there anywhere you can park it off road so that you can declare it off road?
    • Pets = 15.00
    • Travel = 60.00 Get your driving lessons sorted!!
    • Presents = 15.00
    • Emergency fund = 25.00 What does that cover?
    • Christmas = 25.00
    • Dentist = 20.00
    • Weekends away fund 20.00
    Big expenses ! 30+15+60+15+25+25+ 20+20 = 210

£100 a month for socialising is a good amount, why not be strict with yourself and draw that £100 out on pay day - if it's actual cash in your pocket it's harder to justify shelling out on something and might make you think twice....use any left overs at the end of the month to shove on a credit card.
