Thanks DT! Thats a good point about resolving to go and then not going .... thats what I do. If I've got someone on my case, tho, it'll be easier.

Guilt for not feeling upset .... You're fitting so much in, in terms of people and activities.... you're seeing *more* of her right now.... she's suddenly connecting to you again..... there's the adrenalin produced by any big change ..... and parents, y'know, they're *supposed* to make themselves obsolete, thats their job, you're supposed to produce little humans who can go off into the world, there must be some deep genetic satisfaction in that, even if we don't *feel* it. You've done great!

Thanks for that I really appreciate your words.

    Hi Shaun! Hi all!

The way you do batch cooking is amazing, Shaun - do they go into the freezer? You do such a lot at one go.... as with DT, I am full of admiration.

I saw your imageshack piccie, I think it was on Bob's thread?

I've got a bit of paid work this morning (thank heavens) but everything is filthy here, so the vacuum cleaner, the washing machine and the shower will all be on... then I want to zoom into town, bit of shopping, some financial admin, and hey presto, Star Trek is on at 3pm at the Odeon! With DT (and now you!) checking up on me, I don't dare not go :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and there's the slight matter of me *longing* to see it.

:T wanders off, wondering about how to make jam turnovers .....

    hi kc
when i batch cook i do similar meals..like beef stew,,beef pie fruit pies
so it like doing one huge meal ,add salt and pepper,,,,then when their divided into the pots that when there converted to individual meals, add spices, sauuce eth
    makes it so much easier
pastry say do 2lb finished, for 3 pies
    jam turnovers!!!
when you trim the pies save all the bits, each pies trimming is re rolled add 2 teaspoons of jam put milk on edges and seal, cook on bottom of oven....usually the only space left
that lot yest took about 4hrs
    1hr prep
1hr individualising cus theirs only 4 rings on the stove
    1hr to bake
    30mins to claen
30mins to eat,,,,turkey hash ,fruit pie and turnovers:rotfl::rotfl:
rest is frozen,,,babies is blended (hardest job ) bagged and frozen
your going to be blown away when you see the film:cool::cool:

*Very* interesting Shaun, thanks! I should think about that, it could add interest *and* save money, always nice to get the two together.

    And now

    ITS TUESDAY!!!!!

And somebody stopped being reverent to Star Trek and made a great SF film instead!!!

I can't tell you how chuffed I am.:j:o:j I got my beloved Spock, the original as well as the new guy - I was *so* worried about Zachary Quinto doing a Sylar thing, and he was just great. I even liked James Kirk. They used Chekhov to prefigure Wesley. They took account in this story of the ages of the original characters. Oh my god, I'm going to have to put by some Amazon vouchers so I can buy the DVD.....

    Thanks again, DT!!!
