Morning everyone,
A sad day here in the CAFC household. My Dad called last night to tell me that my grandad had passed away yesterday, and to be honest I feel absolutely devastated, cried all night, have hardly had any sleep, and just feel a bit lost and I really hate the thought that noone was there with him, and Im just going to miss him so much...... I knew one day he would pass away, but then another part of me just wanted him to live forever, and always be there like he always had been.....
I'm also meant to be going to a meal with work but I cant get hold of my boss to explain the situation, which is really bugging me as well. I can't communicate with 14 other people today, and be all jolly and happy. I just want time to process....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Oh CAFC, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad.

Can you leave a message to your boss? You sound like you definitely need some time to just come to terms with what's happened. I don't think works dinner would be a very good idea right now. Even if you can't contact him now, don't go, your boss will understand when he knows why.

Oh hun, I am so, so sorry. Big hugs to you.
Don't worry too much about your boss, if push comes to shove coould you get OH to try and get hold of him every so often and if all else fails get a message to the restaurant or to another member of staff. I am sure they will understand. Make sure you take the time you need.

Its ok I finally got to speak to him, think he was on the golf course

He was really understanding about it, and said to just do what I need to do. Its hard to describe how the relationship is within our team at the practice but they are all really supportive.....
I called my cousin in Zante last night to give him the news, and he is getting a flight back on sunday, and I cant describe how hard it was to say the words out loud to someone else......Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
