Aww Saving hun thats really sweet....
I think to an extent we're putting all our eggs in the basket of the fire service. Applications just take time there though, with closing dates, interview dates, medical dates etc etc..... but if we know its temporary, it'll be easier....
My boss has been really good with me though and is trying to find some things DH can do to earn a bit of money just to keep the payments up to date. Which he doesnt have to do, at all, but from a personal point of view its just a really nice thing to do..... it may just be leaflet distribution but I said to DH Pride cant be the thing that stops you doing it, needs must, and it wont be forever, but he was ok about doing something like that which again makes it all easier. Ive got is cv on my laptop as well so if I see anything I'm just going to send it off for him....
I can only control and influence certain things, which is something we learnt at the practice, so i'm only seeking to do what I can, what I have influence over, I will influence, short of that anything I cant isnt in my power so Im not concerning myself with it....its a totally different way of thinking but it does stop the mind from going crazy over things I cant change anyway!

Got home to find a letter for DH from local university inviting him for an interview nxt friday which is his last day at current job, so thats really good....
He'll get £300 payment when he leaves current job which will be helpful to cover some costs but obviously the less lag time between employments, the betterWealth is not measured by currency0 -

thats good news hun hope he gets it!
i've just bitten the bullet and rang MBNA to say i couldnt pay them what they where asking had got a bit behind etc i was paying nearly £160 to one of my cards and £90 to the other (i have 2 with them) they have sorted it out for me to pay a combined £100 per month for the 2 it is such a relief they have also stopped any overpayment and late fees and froze the interest, the bloke did say my credit rating would be affected for upto 6 years but the way I look at it its already in tatters so may as well get it sorted than keep on struggling, am gonna ring capital one tomorrow and sort that out
Think I'm gonna have a beer tonight because the relief is emense, keep that chin up cafc

Thats great stuff Bella.....
we've been thinking of potentially doing the same, just contacting each creditor and asking for a break of a month of nominal payment just to get some breathing room but potentially if this interview comes off it'll be ok...
Am going to go through a few rooms today to see what DH and I can list on ebay...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
OK so I've found roughly 40 items that I could list on ebay....
I could list more if I sold books but im not sure how worth it they will be.....ive got quite a few chick lit books... any suggestions? job lot or individual?Wealth is not measured by currency0
