Hypno's spending diary for June.....

Ok, I have a diary running on diary board, so this will run alongside it, hopefully!
We do pretty well at bringing in extra money, on top of our regular wages.
We have got the direct debits down to a minimum (no sky or gym membership here!).
But the area that needs most work is the spending and sticking to budgets.....no matter how many spending diaries I start, or how many NSDs I commit to, it just doesn't happen!
I figure that this is the area that can now make most difference to our becoming debt free soonest, so welcome to my June spending diary....
On here, at the end of every day, I will list everything that I have spent (not including bills, because I can't do anything about them.....).
Hopefully that will focus my mind a bit and make me realise just how much we are spending unnecessarily! I have signed up to the June grocery challenge on Old Style, and pledged to have 10 NSDs.....so we will see how it goes.
First update later today..........just to get the ball rolling, but I will start doing a running total from tomorrow, with it being the 1st June:D

This is my problem - we no longer have the student income coming in (although I have just agreed to have a student for 3 weeks in the summer) which cuts out a chunk of income we had relied on.
On paper, we should break even" with our combined salaries from all jobs.....but the balances at the end of the month tell a different story.....so that can only be from spending too much, which we just can't afford!
Penguin - you would not believe the number of small pocket sized notebooks I have with 2 or 3 days worth of receipts shoved in them.......:rotfl:
40sm - I am always amazed when people follow my story from start to finish - hope you don't get driven mad with it all
Today's spending.....
£12.99 - new brake discs for OH bike.....necessary spending really!
£1.29 - loaf of bread (not much choice in the shop, and don't have the right stuff to make my own today)
£5.60 - two boxes of Magnum ice creams....
See, I get to the end of the month, wondering why on earth I have run out of money too early......conveniently forgetting the Magnums......:oSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. I've never been a fan of Magnums to be honest, too much vanilla icecream for me.
I'm a strawberry cornetto girl (as long as there is lots of sauce)
