no, I think that's right - the fab conditioner in the dirty water tank disolves the suds or something -
I am going to try this soon, I have an old vax and hate paying for vax shampoo, can't wait to see what stardrops will do!:happylove0 -

Putting fab softener in the collection tank would stop it foaming wouldn't it? Ingenious these moneysavers!Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
I used Stardrops on Friday night to clean DD's filthy baseball cap (she uses it for school) and it's come up almost as good as new after going through the washing machine (there are cleaning instructions on it and it is safe to be washed in the machine
) very impressed. It even made a significant difference to the scuff coat that she got on the cap when she decided to "scuff coat her shoes by spitting on her cap and wiping her shoes over with it" The fact I had only used the scuff coat that morning on them didn't come into it
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

I have a vax cleaner and now some stardops too. What do you mean about the softner and vinegar thing? I don't understand
Sorry, i have my own little world and follow random tangents when i talk never properly finishing a sentance!
I used a splash of fabric softener in the collector for the dirty water to counter-act the millions of bubbles the stardrops produced. I had some leftover softener as I have started using vinegar instead of softener in our washing machine as we live in a hard water area.

I used starclen on some beyond-all-hope-of-getting-them-out stains in the wash this morning (put in a spray bottle and sprayed directly on the stains)
Every single thing came out, and no colour change. I am so happy!!!:happylove0 -
Hi
Bought the microfibre cloths and the stardrops and really have seen the light! Getting some soda crystals when I shop at the weekend, will this remove soap scum from the tiles near the shower? If so How do I use it?
Thanks Debs0 -
just checked my cleaning cupboard....very rarely used I must admit...........and realised I had the micrfibre cloths and soda crystals already:D ......been using stardrops for donkeys years..........generally because I am absolutely useless at cleaning up, and so don't see the point of wasting money on cleany uppy stuff...............
However, I have been sucked in on occasion...........still have a bottle of cillit bang whatever the craps called that I must have bought last August (god that blokes annoying,......nearly....and I say nearly as annoying as the chap on confused.com ............oh I could cheerfully murder him!).....before my sister was due to stay:D I am terrible, its the only time I clean up..........and its usually in a panic the day before:o
Other posts have mentioned bicarb and vinegar...will have to look them up (just chucked a bloody big jar of vinegar as well, cos it was 'out of date')0 -

I keep seeing references to stardrops, I have been working my way through threads but haven't reached one with stardrops yet, what is it?
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Stardrops are an all round cleaner, its cheap (58p in Wilkinsons) and lasts a long time. I use a diluted solution of stardrops and water to clean my bathroom and kitchen, i bought some a couple of months ago and i still have half a bottle left, it lasts so long. I sometimes use it neat in the kitchen, and ive also used it to clean the chair in my sons room (diluted) Its a really good, economical cleaner!!!!0
