I can't get hold of it either..

    Is this a Northern/Southern thing?

According to Thornton&Ross it was "launched in the UK during the war years and it remains one of the company’s best-known brands in the northern regions"

I have looked, searched and even asked in both Wilkinsons and Morrisons in Hampshire..... anyone else in the South managed to get hold of it?

I have found it in Morrisons (but then I think that might have been a northern shop before it took over safeway?) but it's nowhere to be seen in Wilkinsons ( I don't know anything about the origin of that one though)
Unless of course it has made its way to the east in the south, but not travelled in a westerly direction?!!!

Interesting that you've found it in Morrisons in Essex but I can't get it in Morrisons in Hants!....

Will try Savers next.... seen a few people mention that, and one has just opened here..

fingers crossed... I REALLY want to try it after reading this thread !!!!!

having never used stardrops yet , do you think it would be suitable for use in a vax instead of their carpet cleaning liquid ?
