  • Yes, you only need the "permission" to search their database. My question was more concerning if I bought the 2008 (much cheaper) edition wether I could still access the 1911 Census.

    The England & Wales 1911 Census will be available to search for free from 00:00 BST on 24th July 2013 until 23:59 GMT on 14th October 2013. To view these records you will need to register for free with Ancestry.co.uk with your name and email address.
