    Great deal.

    Is it??

Not being funny. I genuinely don't know what is the best deal on this, & I wonder what the money is for.
Is this the best outfit to use?

Its a brilliant deal Laura. And yes, ancestry is just about the family genealogists bible. You get 24/7 access with no further payments.
Go to the link to see what it covers. Ive had a sub for nearly 6 years and I still use it every day as more and more records are added.

I love Ancestry. I have been a member for 2 years, my last membership was taken out with Ancestry Aus as they had a 50% offer on. Shame I don't have any Australian relatives (that I have found yet!).

Anway, other sites charge per view. Which can be very expensive as you have to look at lots of records to discount them. It is a shame that Ancestry don't have rights to the last census to be released, as the site that does is a 'pay per view' (shame on you!!) and would cost me a fortune to update my tree.

I love Ancestry because it gives you hints to other people looking at the same people as you. This can be a great help.

They offer a FREE trial, so you could cancel and not pay anything if you find you do not like it.

Don't forget you can also access it for FREE in a lot of libraires, so you don't have to pay at all. Contact your library to see if they are part of the scheme.

Its ok using the library but oh its not the same as having unlimited time (my library has an hour limit) and sitting here at 2 a.m pondering whether you have at last found your Jonas mistranscribed as Thomas :)

can anyone help who uses it please. i created a tree but my old pc died on me and i was left not knowing my username etc. i have a full tree somewhere on there but am now having to start again and its blooming hard, espectially when it says there is another identical tree on there (mine) but because of privacy setting and being a non member, i cannot even email myself, i hope that makes sense.

on the main site there is no offer so is the above link with the landing before it ok? thanks
A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j

If you use quidco you can get 25% cashback. Not sure if this will work with the 50% deal as well?

Would be amazing if it did :)

Mrsv - contact ancestry asking for them to reinstate your password and user name - they are usually very helpful. If you have closed it to everyone then I guess it wont be any help me trying to look at it. Just a thought, when you first got your password/user name, did ancestry send it to you by hotmail? If thats the case and you havent deleted it, it should still be on there somewhere. hotmail doesnt die when your puter does as its in cyber space, unlike your OE or windows mail.

Did you not have your tree on a tree program on your computer that you could back up to disc? Please make sure you do as luckily I have FTM which stores all my data is cyber space (as well as me updating the cd disc when I remember) and Ive had to use the facility twice now when my hard drive has died on me. Its such a relief to click a few buttons and see all my 6 years work reappear like magic.

Oh, yes, it should be fine to use the link to get the offer mrsv - but you may have a problem setting up a connection to your tree as you are in theory supposed to be a new member - take it you were a member before when you set up the tree? If not, then go ahead :)
