Evening all

Well isn't it a beautiful day? Sun is shining and CHELSEA won the cup :T:T:j:j:D:D:j:j:T:T:D:D:T:T:j:j:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer: ( can you tell I'm pleased:o:p) What was that about kicking backsides?:p:p:rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry, back on track. Well yesterday I made a chocolate hedgehog cake, did all the ironing, broke my camera
and knitted two new dishcloths.
Today I've stripped our bed, knitted another cloth, started a fourth and potted up some veggies. Then OS went out the window so I could watch the match.
I'm another not fond of talent shows, never watched any of them, or any of the other reality TV, including skating or dancing celebs. Still each to their own, it would be so boring if we all liked the same. Give me a good thriller, crime series or ER and I'm sorted
Dinner tonight will be M&S quiche (:p:p) salad and new potatoes. Yes I am cooking my own potatoes:rolleyes:
Tomorrow I must tackle the jungle we laughingly call a back garden:o
Hope you all have good evenings, and (hugs) for any poorlies. CM xYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Me: Who won the football?
DH: Chelsea.
Me: Oh, CM will be pleased then

Congratulations all you Chelsea fans :T:footie::footie::footie::T
I'm going to be spending most of the evening on the pc trying to avoid BGT -cannot stand it and yet I keep getting sucked into it:rolleyes: Thank goodness for the freesat box-we'll get the telly back at 9 when the boys go to bed- going to watch Jerry Maguire;)
I've had a lovely relaxing day spent mostly in my leafy garden with a pile of books.
OS wise I've done all the laundry-it dried in a trice and I've made some raspberry lollies for the kids tomorrow (a bag of frozen raspberries defrosted and blended with apple juice and a touch of sugar and then frozen in a lolly mould. Yes, you read right I'm refreezing the raspberries, I like to live on the edge
Tea was very yummy- Chinese mince -mince cooked with a few glugs of hoisin, beansprouts and rice stirred through. Served with stir-fried veg.
Is anyone else not watching BGT or am i on my own here?

Evening all,
Beautiful day here...third in a row, spent half morning at a neighbour's funeral, lovely to see people I rarely see nowadays, pity that it always seems to be at a funeral that it happens.
Very little OS happening here to-day, lots of plants still to be watered, will wait until garden is in some shade as I seem to wilt in the heat, can't handle it at all these days.
We had lunch out to-day, DD4 is now cooking chicken something or other for herself and DGS 2, so only washing done....and dried, probably should iron but I'm allergic to ironing so just hang up and hope for the best!
Will spend an hour or so in garden in a bit so that will be my exercise for to-day! Nothing I particularly want to watch on tv, so may just read or knit instead.
Have a lovely evening all

Ivyleaf & I certainly don't watch itthriftlady wrote: »Is anyone else not watching BGT or am i on my own here?
I can't speak for anyone else though :rotfl: 0 -
Oh good, it's not just me then:j I just feel it is an excuse to laugh at people, at least that is what my kids seem to be doing- although I can see that now, in the final stages there are some talented folk on but it is still not my kind of entertainment.
Hope everyone has a good evening. Which reminds me - could someone please reassure me that I'm not the only person who isn't remotely interested in watching Britain's Got Talent
:D
I also feel it encourages the cult of celebrity and discontent with a simple ordinary existence.0 -
Sunnygirl we're a growing band;) Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed NATM2, fab wasn't it?0

I am watching as i want to see stavros flatley supposed to be funny
Good news Benidorm is on tomorrow for a one off special it really makes me cry with laughter as we have all met these people on holiday somewhere0 -
Thriftlady The film was brill & it was partly reading your reccommendation earlier in the week that decided it for me
I laughed so much at the ancient egyptian king - the baddie I can't remember his name - the actor who played him hammed it up so much it was great.
I took drinks for DS & his friend and had a big bag of popcorn that I'd popped at home for them too
:money:
Enjoy your evening of NOT watching BGT :T 0 -
Tiredmum, I love Benidorm and have also seen people like them on holiday. I also love Kingdom which is coming soon.
Another one here that can't stand BGT or Football, please don't shoot me
Settled DGD in the crib at 7.30. and is fast asleep, hope she stays that way. Just finished a HM chicken curry in time to answer the phone, it was DD2 missing Charlotte and wanted to know how she is. All I could say was " A perfect angel as usual"
Hope all are enjoying whatever you're watching
