Afternoon All
I sold some bracelets this week which is great:jEmailed some people about craft fairs, so waiting to hear back about those. Freelance work is pretty slow in my normal job, I start a regular Saturday shift next weekend, which helps, but hoping the jewellery will pick up so I can at least pay the mortgage:( I must really find some more work from somewhere, but I don't know where.
BIL's done some of the work on the flat for me, so that's another job off the list.
Going to raid the cupboards in a minute to see what cake I can whip up. Got a lime vodka brewing. Not tried it with lime before, so we'll see what it comes out like.
Off to a BBQ tomorrow - weather permitting - so will have a root round for a bottle of something to take with me.
Breakfast today was a mango with yoghurt. Lunch grilled beef tomato on toast with a poached egg and dinner will be chicken in a mushroom sauce with rice.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hi everyone been out into town and to the park and now the kids are home exhausted and ready to settle down for the day.
Pen-pen I am claret and blue through and through but I have a soft spot for Everton I'd love 'em to win today but last time I looked it was 1-1 so dont think its gonna happen
DD&D-Lovely to have you back

House is full of four teenage girls getting ready for the concert tonight , its madness, make up, hair straightening, boys, mucic, and lots of giggling.
Ah well off to see if i can manage to cook smiley faces, nuggets, and tinned spagetti _pale__pale_
Need a vat of wine :beer:0 -
Hello again, haven't managed to get to the charity shop as when I got the suit out of its cover i realised it needed washing to freshen it up, so put it through the WM on a delicates cycle, and it's come out fine and has dried quickly on the line! :T I've washed all my summer trousers too, so as long as I can force myself to iron a pair I've got some lightweight ones to wear to church tomorrow
What possessed me to buy linen trousers I don't know, except that when I bought them a couple of years ago there didn't seem to be any around that weren't either linen or polyester!
redruby - LOL at the teens' chosen menu! Hope the wine is helping you face it!
SOMO1 - glad you have managed to find a good use for the tumble dryer sheets, it's so annoying when you find something like that has dried out!
scuzz - Good luck with the jewellery! And I hope some freelance work comes up soon. Have you been able to actually move into your flat yet or are you still at your Mum's?
Went to the butcher's this morning, so dinner is one of their chicken and leek pies - haven't tried one from there before, so fingers x'd.
Hope everyone has a good evening. Which reminds me - could someone please reassure me that I'm not the only person who isn't remotely interested in watching Britain's Got Talent

Ivyleaf I don't watch it either, never have. Saturday nights viewing for me is NCIS followed by CSI: New York
or even better getting a chance to read in peace :T
Night at the Museum 2 was brilliant and so cool with the air conditioning in there. I'm glad I made the tea earlier as I can sit outside with the cats now. It's too hot for the dog he's currently flopped out under the kitchen table looking very sorry for himself!0 -
Thank you SunnyGirl, that's made me feel better
We don't often watch NCIS for some reason, but I like CSI. 0 -

:D
Ivy never watched it or anything like it. Never will. I want to be entertained when i watch tv or dvds etc... if I wanted to watch crap singers I'd go to a local karoake for free..:p
Matthew Wright calls it Britain Exploits the mentally challenged and I am with him. It smacks as cruel and not very pc. I thought we had evolved from laughing at the village idiots.

Your lastest posts on this thread are a bit nasty and offensive. Do you mean it that way or is it insensitivity to people who are not the same as you?

I just don't enjoy variety shows of any description, never have. I put it down to my parents' insistence on having "Sunday Night at the London Palladium" on every week
My trousers are all dry and i've managed to iron a pair of trousers and a top for tomorrow (even though the iron did keep scattering limescale on the things i was ironing ) - so nice to be able to dry stuff outside!0 -
NCIS & CSI for me too

Pen-Pen, I bought some loose Ricotta today and they also had the Galbani one that's pre-packed. This was Booths supermarket, Don't know quite how widespread they are now, but I'm in Lancashire
