The one that I got today is 4508, should i be worried?

That ties with with what A Wing, over on the Bank Account & Budgeting forum was told

I have a savings account with Co-op already, and was looking to open a basic account with them after hearing about the Electron cards being phased out. I have a Halifax account at the moment with an Electron card, and find it quite infuriating as it's really hard to pay bills etc online.

I phoned Co-op today to ask about the account, and I was told that they had stopped issuing VISA debit cards for now!!

Id give them a call and see what they tell you!

But make a point that your card wont work in certain places.

Thats interesting as I have one of the new 4508 cards and 4508 is printed underneath it on the card itself, let us know when you hear more.

Ive just got my brother to ring again and the woman who answered the phone said theyve had a communication about it this afternoon and it is being looked into. So im sure if you call yourself they will give you the same or simular info. Any volunteers to give them a call? lol

Just been speaking to a really helpful advisor, he's going to call me back once he speaks to the team that are currently dealing with this problem.
