Hi Everyone, as instructed by phil, I have taken my so-called Co-op Visa debit card to the cashpoint(ATM)and it was a Co-op ATM as well. I followed phil's instructions as per unlocking the pin, rushed home excitedly, did my weekend shopping on the Tesco's grocery site, fed my card number etc in - GUESS WHAT! They refused the card again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any ideas what we do next?

No reason why not - it'd a debit card not a credit card, you can only withdraw what is in the bank!

Markbass yes you can just call co-op and ask to have a Cashminder account you have to call though as you cannot apply online.

Madmonk have you called to talk to a manager as Co-op i would challenge them on it as they might then realise that they have to tick a box on there system or something?

    OK latest update...
I tried my card at Tesco - refused.
I phoned Tesco - they say its because the terms and conditions state that you must be physically there - ie not online.
I phone co-op...Basically the card is a normal visa debit - not an electron. It is very new, and they haven't caught up with themselves yet. The terms and conditions will change soon. Also my account it still shows electron/visa ( got my card today).
He said they will pass message on that we are all requiring a quick update of details and terms, and he assures me that when this is done, we will be able to use it at all stores.

    Fingers crossed xxxx

Sorry but the terms and conditions thing doesn't make sense! Surely the terms and conditions would be the same for all internet shopping and yet I have no problems with Sainsburys or Asda? Or Amazon,HMV,Argos,Play.com etc.... The only ones I've had problems personally is Tesco Internet! Is it Tesco's or is it the Co-op?
