Welcome, but can I remind you that there is no place on this board for measured, considered & reasonable posts.
If you could moderate your style so that you are either in the;
1) Hell in a handbasket camp.
2) Sunshine and light camp.
it would be much more useful.

This forum never fails to crack me up with people clinging onto glimmers of hope. We are in a major recession, with the worst arguably still to come. How on earth can house prices fight against such forces and continue to increase?

Sadly not. My Dad and several friends have got tickets but I couldnt get one this time"For those who understand, no explanation is necessary. Those who don't understand, dont matter."0 -
my opinion is different to your friends - i see a W shaped crash. with the 2nd part not as bad as the first.
I've given up predicting it now, too many things going on and I've also given up being suprised by whats going to happen next.
So a big rise would slightly surprise me, while a big fall would surprise me somewhat less, neither is beyond being possible.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

The opposite of me. I'm taking my son, but my Dad is missing his first final in 40 years.
Fingers crossed - I'm never very optimistic but just have this feeling that we will win.

The sun is shining, the cup final tomorrow, you must feel that all is well with the world :beer:'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Brilliant, enjoy it!
I'm the same, when it comes to E.F.C. I ALWAYS assume the worst, but this time something just feels right (ala '95). IMWT"For those who understand, no explanation is necessary. Those who don't understand, dont matter."0 -
why do we only see this graph going down from peak - end of 2007?
i'm waiting for some clever clogs to come along and show it from Feb 2009 onwards - the reaction from the HPCers would be hilarious!!
So long as the line stays under the "Year change %" zero base line on the y-axis then surely it's still bear food
There's bound to be some HPC jokers that can't read a graph properly thinking "OH NOES LINE GO UP - BAD BAD BAD", I'd like to think that the average poster here has a little more intellect though!0
