Was just wondering how long it takes to make a nappy cake? Most people seem to be saying that they make £5 profit (approx) per cake and so I was wondering how many cakes you could make in one hour? That needs to include getting the materials as well. Many thanks!£11,000 in 2011

Hi
Well I can make a 2 tier cake in just under an hour but that doesn't include buying the items as I usually buy online sometimes with my weekly shop etc. I always try to make at least £10 on each 2/3 tier cake as it isn't worth it to me to make it for any less.

Carly Mummy - You can register with www.photobucket.com and upload your photos on there, once they are on there, there is a function which allows to get a IMG code to post it on here.
This is my idea for a bathtime cake - I think it looks a bit too yellow-ey though, will carry on playing around.0 -
Thanks Stokegal, Just spent ages writing a post and lost it! You got some great bargains with your shopping - wish I had access to Wholesalers.
Your cakes and cupcakes look really cute!
Shopping Issue - I don't buy much from Primark (apart from Blankets) as I prefer stuff from Asda, Matalan, Tesco etc. Primark never have what I am looking for and they are not so cheap anyway.
I bought a load of gorgeous stuff in the Next sale so will be using thes in more expensive cakes.
The thing I don't like to see is a beautiful cake spoiled with a cheap nasty toy!
Hope I have not put the cat among the pidgeons now! LOL :rotfl:0 -

Thanks - I feel guilty enough about mentioning Primark now, I don't want to cause conflict between anyone on there different opinions, as for nasty toys - again you find that everyone finds different stuff cute - for example I HATE denim dungerees (on my little boy), but my mum loves them and buys them for him all the time - and my OH thinks they're cute, whereas I bought a pink T-Shirt for my DS and my nan says that it's not right and hates it on him...
Just to lighten the mood - here is the offending T-Shirt
It says "Tough enough to wear Pink" :rotfl::rotfl:
Bought in the 1/2 price next sale for £2.50!!!0
