I have been thinking of running a nappy cake training day up here in Nottinghamshire as I have been asked a few times if I do them, the day course would include trade secrets, info on wholesale lists, info on HMRC, trading standards, liability insurance, webite and SEO info along with social networking for businesses, items to make a 3 tier nappy cake (worth £50) to take home and with lunch included, I would be not only teaching how to make nappy cakes and other things but I would also be focusing on starting your own business with info on available grants and finacial backing that can be available for start-up businesses etc so it would be quite a comprehensive course by the time I put it all together.
I have not definitely decided to do it yet, but am thinking about it. Suppose it would be a nice day out for ladies who really want to know the ropes and who are thinking about setting up their own business from home. There is only one company doing this sort of thing at the moment and they charge £195 per student for the day, I wouldn't charge anywhere near that. Just after feedback at the moment though guy's, eg: what would you pay for a course like this? etc.... Thanks :T

Janey - i think this is a great idea, there are lots of people who would love to start a small business that need a guide and having someone there to go through the steps with would be great, also having the oppertunity to chat will bring up things people have never thought about.
Also the practacle side is a nice addition to all the stuff which might give brain ache and will break the day up .
My only question is would you be planning to run the day singlehanded?, it might be alot for one person to do, if you are planning on having help it might be worth thinking about running it (or at least part of it) as workstations - short and sweet, keeps people moving and helps with keeping their attention.
As for the price although i dont know the standard price for this type of training day many business/professional development days come in at this type of price (in my profession study/training days are usually way in excess of this).

    Good Luck

Im doing a round one, i want to try and match it to their wedding coulour but I think after seeing yours I amy do this with the ribbons rather than the towel. I really like the white towels they look fresh and clean. That one is lovely.
Looking forward to new ventures
